From the Saloon?...........LOL. Who came up with the idea for gas lamps???? Fire them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, those lanterns are from The Saloon. No, those are not going to be a Casino Reward. We just thought it would be fun to throw some of our items into the space to not make it look so empty. :smileyhappy: There are a few placeable items in this picture like the side tables, lamps, rug and sofa.

Oh wow, this is starting to look like the kind of space I've always wanted to decorate. Baked in bedroom with all that kind of shelving and what looks like a bathroom in a separate, realistic looking room? Next you'll be telling me this thing has a kitchen!

Don't be silly, they have a buffet on the other side of the casino.

I don't know about you, but if I walk through a casino I will be tempted to gamble.

Can't have us staying in our rooms, how would they get our money?:smileywink:

Re: A Sneek Peek at the Brand New Penthouse Suite.

As of 3pm EST, I finally hit $1,000,000. And I still have 24,000 chips to play around with. Now to sit back and wait until the space becomes available and bask in my accomplishment. Lol!!!

Congratulations on making $1,000,000! The Penthouse Suite looks lovely and I am really looking forward to picking up they keys to it.

Since the Penthouse Suite was announced I've had several PMs requesting any tips on how to achieve the $1,000,000 to earn the Penthouse, mainly due to my fortunes on the Roulette table at the end of last season, and although I have replied to each one, I thought I would try and post a few things here that might help some out. Not so much for established players, but more for those that aren't as familiar with Casino's and would like to try and earn the Penthouse.

This is only meant as tips as to what I found useful, as unlike the fossil guide which can give you definite results (ie digging combo's to get 3 clods), the Casino obviously has varying results, and what works today, may not tomorrow, and vice versa.

As with all Casino's, each game is in favor of the Casino but the big advantage we have that does not come in other Casino's is that we dont have to get our winnings up to $1,000,000, only our earnings, which means we only have to 'hold our own' at the tables, as if we can maintain our chips our earnings will still go up, just as the post above this shows ($1,000,000 earnings with only $24,000 chips).

The two best games to achieve this in the quickest time are Roulette and Blackjack.

For Roulette, my success came from dividing my bet into three (more or less) equal stacks, and betting on three individual numbers. Whilst max betting on one number reaped big rewards if it came in, my experience was if that number was cold you could lose a lot of money very quickly, as with three numbers covered if one of them is cold, you have a chance the other two can come in. The pay off might not be as big, but it very soon mounts up. For info, my holdings generally floated between $50,000 and $200,000 chips, way less than the $1,000,000 required in earnings for the Penthouse Suite.

For Blackjack I always played on the single deck tables, mainly because the max bets were bigger.

In my opinion, the main downfall for new players is that they draw cards on a 12, 13, 14, or even a 15 and then bust. I've croupiered Blackjack quite a few times, and so many players needlessly lose money by doing this, just for the dealer to bust but then its too late. My advice to new players until they get into this game, is simply hold on a 12 or more and make the dealer work for their win. The dealer has to keep hitting until they reach 17, if they bust you get the win. The only time I would consider drawing on a 12, 13, or 14 is if the dealer holds an ace, otherwise stand and make the dealer work for their money.

Doubling Down gives a nice opportunity to double your bet, but be careful using this. I've lost quite a few times, and in my opinion I would only double down on a 9, 10 or 11 but only if the dealers card is less than I'm holding (ie, if we're both at 10 I would just hit, if I was at 10 and dealer at 9 I would consider doubling down). The ideal time to double down is when the dealer has a 5 or 6, which means if you do draw a low card (you can only draw the once), there is a better chance the dealer may bust to hand you the win.

There are obviously other games, but atleast until Craps arrives, these I believe are the quickest way to achieve the $1,000,000 required.

I hope this helps, particularly for any newer players that may like to have a go and get the Penthouse Suite. As I mentioned before, there is no definite formula, but I think this is a good start until you gain confidence and get used to the games. You will soon get used to it, and will then try your own tactics to hopefully reap some rewards, but if you do find yourself on a bad run, walk away and come back later, dont chase anything or it'll likely get worse.

Just remember, we only need earnings of $1,000,000, NOT holdings of $1,000,000. This makes the challenge alot easier than at first glance it possibly looks. I never expected to make the earnings I made, but if I can do it, anyone can!

Apologies for the long post, but hope this helps, and good luck :smileyhappy:

Re: A Sneek Peek at the Brand New Penthouse Suite.

Thank you very much Mermaid-KT for sharing those excellent strategies. I've made my million, but I must admit I'm somewhat addicted to the casino. I find myself checking the leaderboards and my friends winnings often as well as my overall rank.  I keep trying to climb and unlock all the rewards.

Most of my winnings have come from slowly grinding chips out at a much slower rate. After superlatives made a similar post about his blackjack strategies, I tried it myself and found that yes I could add an extra 40-80,000 to my earnings in a day. Having a decent "bank" to begin with is fairly important. I know some have said they've invested nothing, or went with the 5,000 chip option and made their fortune that way, but that doesn't seem to work for me. I like to be able to lose 10-15,000 chips in a session. Over time, it does seem to even out as long as you stay the course. It all depends on how quickly you want to reach the 1 million mark.

Now that I'm maxed out on the rest, I need to work my way up from level 3 poker...ugh it's my downfall. I'll have to hit up the regular rooms for more practice before joining the high rollers upstairs.

Thanks again for the tips...they are most appreciated.

Re: A Sneek Peek at the Brand New Penthouse Suite.

Thankyou for your comments, and your welcome :smileyhappy:

After writing the fossil guide, I'm all in a 'must write a guide' mode, and theres nothing better to me than the Casino. The only thing is, a guide for the Casino is a bit more subjective so I'm playing it through my head at the moment the best way to approach it.

Poker is probably my most favorite game in the Casino and helped get my holdings up prior to my Roulette run, so would be nice to play you in Poker sometime.

I hope you get your Poker Level 3 soon, I'm sure it wont take you long, and Good Luck on the tables :smileyhappy:

Thx much for the tips KT.....now do you think there is any way that I could borrow some of your luck? I'll give it all back--I only need it for maybe 6 months or so. :smileyvery-happy:
