I'm number 4 with 98,370, I stopped by the black screen, but I do not get the hat, I have to try to reach the 100,000 without black screen?

Could someone please explain what the object of this game is? I haven't played but a couple of times and it was late last night, but I really couldn't make sense of it. I got nabbed by some black tail thing that was moving faster than me in both tries and had maybe a 400 score lol Without having played more than those couple of tries, these scores for rewards already look pretty daunting unless I really figure something else out about the game.

Its not actually 100,000 that gets you the hat, but it seems to be close to that when it pops. The key is to get to LEVEL 75 before the game goes black and ends just shy of 100,000. I can see no mention of levels in the instructions, but the faster you play the game and get more of those favorable stars and color changes, the more likely you are to progress in levels. The trick is to do it before it goes black just shy of 100,000.

Thanks for the pics and info...the hat doesn't seem too bad, at least it doesn't have the infamous short hair that all other hats have. The glasses look funny.

I guess I'll try to get them both but it's so hard >< I was barely able to get the suit without dying shortly after lol.
