Make sure theyre actual freezes before shutting down your ps3. I've noticed that about half of what seems like a freeze is just a server hang up and waiting it out will result in a network error instead of hard resetting the system. If youre still waiting after around 3 mins than go ahead and reset. Ive seen many people suggest we get a week of updates to fix problems instead of new content for years now but they never listen to it.

Many of the freezing problems in PSN Home and PSN in general come from a natural lack of synchronicity between the PSN users requests and the servers and in many occassions, the higher the number of PSN users playing a game, the higher is the probability for the PSN users account to develop a freeze. You can see this lack of sychronicity perfectly well in the way the servers behave in the games of Aurora and Uproar. If a group of PSN users develop many consecutive freezes in a short period of time, all day long, it could be a problem with the PSN and/or internet traffic in the area and the advise is to reset and clean the computer along with reseting the modem and not to connect to PSN until the servers and network routers handling the traffic has reached a peak of efficiency. Also, to buy a flash drive to backup the PS Home files associated with the PSN accounts is a good thing to do because PS Home has been suffering from some bugs that can truly erase files that contain important data associated with games that are not stored in the PS Home servers but are stored in the PS3 gaming system like the "script files" that contain the data associated with the names of your dolphys and all your unlocked items and number of wins of the Hudson's Dolphy Race game and you can then have the freedom of restoring your old data or to simply decide to create new ones by rising brand new dolphys with better names.
