Save data utility

I saved my avatar to my flash drive along with a few of my personal spaces. I recently got a new ps3. I put all my account info in.  I went to the saved utility to copy my save data from the flash drive . It was copied successfully. When I load onto home my avatar is a default.  Im not sure what it is that im done wrong? I have done this before it always worked. Can anyone tell me if im doing something wrong?

Game Menu --> Saved Data Utility (PS3) ---> USB ----> Press Triangle on the file to copy

You should get a dialog which says There is saved date with the same name at the save destination. Do you want to overwrite it. Select Yes. You need to do that for each of your Home files unless a file does not exist on your machine at the moment, then it sould simply copy the file to your machine.

Re: Save data utility

You must have missed one of the files.  There are a few there - settings, script settings, character settings.

It would be a good idea to get it all straightened out before the next core update because all those files will upload from your PS3 to the Home servers. It's a one-time only event and your back-ups on the Flash drive will be useless.
