It's been 3 days now the my system freezes when I am in home especially when I go in store, i spend more time in the Repairing HDD cache then anything it takes about 15 minutes then anything I try to do on home it freezes again. Seriously I didn't spend hundreds of dollars just to be Repairing HDD cache and not being able to get on home. This will mess up my PS3

It's a major pain in the derrière, I know, but sometimes - just sometimes, you need to delete Home and reinstall it.
Yes, yes. I can hear your moans from here, but Home hogs so much HDD space that it just may be disappearing up its own - well... derrière.

On the screen that comes up after you turn your system back that says it's going to run a check to repair your HDD and may take several hours, although only x is shown to accept this, you can bypass this by hitting circle. This should save you a little time, although I do run the check every so often, I don't do it every time. DG

Smexy - can you describe what you are doing when the freeze occurs... are you in or entering a menu? What's onscreen - what button are you pushing, item you are using.... anything you can see happening before freeze?

I was wondering, why sometimes Home can sign me in, in a few 2-3 minutes and sometimes it can take as long as fifteen minutes? I always figured it was a flood of people accessing the server and it just was slow.
