Re: [Answer] Z (9-2) Log-In Problem

So, I got in again on NA after unplugging all wires(again) and turning console off for a few minutes. I was on the phone with customer support at the same time, but they did not have an answer or fix for the problem. I turned the system off to get the number on the back and unplugged wires, then viola, logged in. Hmmm.

Re: [Answer] Z (9-2) Log-In Problem

Ive gotten on randomly. Have spent HOURS on the phone with Sony now. Reset all modem settings allowed ranges and dmz. Home has same error. As previously stated, I installed home on a brand new, out the box ps3 with same result. Last thing Sony guy said was try a wired connection. So has anyone with wired connection had this error?  And is everyone with the issue calling in?

Omg, my connection is wired. I have a router and a ethernet cable connection with PS3. BTW I just got booted again with a "F13" error and now back to black log in screen.

Re: [Answer] Z (9-2) Log-In Problem

So after a reinstall on the newly installed ps3 ( which has been used for nothing else at this point), I got on but had to build an avi from scratch. Which also sucked. I stayed on for a long time then someone froze me. (yay lames).  Then I restarted n tried getting back on and yea, same error. Do not bother with reinstall kids. It is not a fix.

Re: [Answer] Z (9-2) Log-In Problem

I gave up and am just using my UK account, it works, no errors. Customer support over the phone was surprised when I mentioned this error code z(9, -2), not sure how their support center works, I swear I got to the right department. I also got an email from customer support that told me to delete game data, settings, and Home and try to reinstall, they worded it differently in their email cause I mentioned that I had already done that a few times, nonetheless I tried again, still getting error and black screen. I bought my ps3 at Costco, I will be exchanging it for a new one tomorrow to see if that helps. Got to love Costco warranty.

When the error pops up I just keep clicking x til i get in takes me sometimes about 10 times then when it finally there black screen no error i leave it and with in 5 minutes it loads the navigator. I reformatted did my clock and all the other suggestions none of it helped. Just breathe and keep trying be patient however frustrating it is and hopefully they have a fix soon.

Re: [Answer] Z (9-2) Log-In Problem

I really think its the 2 new games or just that more ppl with Christmas ps3s, as far as EU Home goes yes np  going there....This is totally Sony's doing or undoing ,Maybe some one there will spend a few dollars to upgrade servers ,,but until that happens we will end up like the march 1 minor prob were a few of you cant log on with the fat ps3s which was in the hundreds of thousands but that was minor guess how the board will look at this prob,,,,,,,,,

I think you will go through a lot of trouble for nothing by bringing your PS3 back to Costco. It's a server-side problem.
