I hear ya, same for the free music. I forgot what the minimum is to get a prepaid debit card, something like $50 I thinking depending on which one you get, its a big hassle but if you want something else somewhere online you can do it that way, put in the debit card, then use the code. You should get your money back if you cancel the debit card.

Ask a trusting family member to let u use it for registration. U can cancel the auto renewal and after that I'm pretty sure u can delete the payment method.

All Plus vouchers are like that unless stated otherwise.

Account management > Transaction Management > Services List > PlayStation Plus > PlayStation Plus [Subscription] - Cancel Automatic Renewal.

Enter your billing info and simple delete it afterwards...

I find it totally amusing that your given a code for free Plus for a month yet you need a credit card to finalize the deal. It's pretty obvious that Sony's banking on you to forget to turn off the auto renew feature and get you  for a full year's subscription.Woman Happy

It's actually just three months, but I see your point. That's usually the way "trial" subcriptions work, though.

Yup! I'm all to aware of the practice. The coffee is free but the cup will cost you 10 bucks.Woman WinkWoman Happy

This practice is very common, I don't see what's the problem with it. Just cancel before it expires.
