Re: Will Home compeletely replace the XMB?

Jun 30, 2007
Its more of a community involved kind of thing. The XMB will (of course) still be available but HOME is more of an alternative route where you can meet up with oThEr players and chat and at the same time jump in and out of games uninterrupted.

Here is another reason why home will not replace XMB....what happens when you go to turn your PS3 on and the PSN is being dumb like it has in the past and you cant log in....wont that make your PS3 more or less a brick at that point?

If you're saying Home should be on the Blu-Ray disc kind of how the updates were on the UMD then that would be a good idea for those who don't have an internet connection yet. Also, some form of an offline home should be there.

even though home can do that, in home you cant play dvds or blu-ray, u cant change settings,u cant use webbrowser,u cant use remote play, and i believe u only can launch into multiplayer games, and wut if you just wanted to watch videos ,show pics, listen to a cd, u wouldnt need home for a simple offline task such as that, so let home serve its purpose and the xmb serve its.
