I think a lot third party developers make things they want and it get forward and it up to Community Manager’s to allow it or not. Home has become place for third party developer’s market place and I’m ok with it but now you don’t see Sony making whole lot stuff and the events now are run by third party developers and Halloween got example of this. So I say third party developer’s run home were Community Manager are there just to control the flow of the stuff.
Small company's would have run home at one time, yet they sold out... HOME is now Owned by Sony and contracted out to 3rd party's... ask any company besides Sony in HOME and I bet they will tell you that have to pay a hefty price to be here... yet on the other hand, if it were not for the Sell out... there would be no HOME... it would have crashed and burned long ago... Sony gave it a place to be, SONY GAVE HOME a HOME...
SCE stated years ago that Sony would create the platform and be responsible for it's maintenance, functionality and security of PlayStation Home. The had said, way before Home was released, that they would rely on third party Developers to create the content that would help pay for this service.
This is akin to a big company creating and building a shopping mall while allowing individual companies to open their own store within the building. The big company will provide the maintenance and security of the mall while the individual companies will provide the income.
The Managers have little to no say in what content is made available in Home. That is not part of their job description.
Given the fact that mods haven't roamed Home since the last Ice Age, I'd say it's really run by pervs, stalkers, gangsta wannabes, and other troublemakers. Something we've all known for quite some time now since the Report option when hitting Select is merely window dressing.
They're - H/mods, DPC - definitely still attached to Home but with a more concomitant stance.
