Stopping releases for close to 3 months isn't a good thing. It certainly seems that Granzella has shifted it's emphasis to other things besides Home. They aren't alone. Konami which was also pretty active hasn't done anything in awhile as well.
I find it hard to understand how it's a good business decision to stop content for 3 months and let your customers not know what is going on. I actually tweeted them asking them when we might receive new content and they never responded. They usually do or have in the past.
Personally I have a very bad feeling about Granzella. I think the days of their real commitment to this platform are over and that is really a shame given they are what made Home special for me. I can't say as I blame them however with the loss of Japan as a major source of income for them.
You make some wonderful points and honestly I have to agree with you and I sincerely hope they reconsider "IF" they have decided to not make any more content for Home.
For those who claim that ise doesn't affect anything I have to say I beg to differ [Story Time] I will tell you a story and try not to be long winded in order to make my point, btw this happened just yesterday with 2 of my brothers:
Brother #1: I just bought a fan developed game online
Brother #2: Why did you buy it .... ITS FREE!!
Brother #1: Because if you like and or enjoy their content you support it and by doing so they can create more content for people to enjoy. Supporting helps pay for their time and expenses. [End of Story]
Devs will not want to develop content that others can just steal ESPECIALLY if they feel Sony is not doing anything about it. Japan was a major source for Gz not NA or EU not because of user base but simply because ise is not tolerated. When behavior like this is commonly accepted by individuals then eventually we all have to reap what someone else who doesn't care sows.
Consumer and employee theft definitely is a factor for business failures.
