Re: Western Frontier Discussion Thread

I went back and updated my original post slightly after checking the space again. Most games do not have token payouts, and the ones that do, the payout is 8-16 tokens...if you get a very high score (shooting gallery and liar's dice).

Buying a 325 point item would require 31, 525 gold to convert to tokens. Buying a 2450 point item would be...796,250. Someone else do the math on what that amounts to in cost. (80,000 gold is 19.99)

In response to the person who asked about the rewards, they include very nicely done old west clothes (same for M/F), horse, buffalo and donkey LMOs, some pets and some old west themed furniture.

EDIT: Just completed a stagecoach race on my alt and recieved 14 tokens for coming in second. I think I have enough gold on my main to try and come in first. This could POTENTIALLY be the only remotely fair game in this place, at least compared to the other games. It will still cost a crazy amount of gold and first place wins, and is still ludicrous.

The prices of items are crazy crazy high, nobody is going to pay hundreds of dollars to buy a couple items. Not only are the prices high but you have to wait to get a trade. What a huge disappointment this area is. Gold should not be 97 for each silver coin exchange. I had 2000 gold yesterday and got to trade it for 20 silver coins, not nearly enough to buy the cheapest article of clothing for trade. It's .99 for each 1000 tokens, wth????? Digital Leisure smh!!!!!

Well I haven't been in the space long enough to evaluate the pricing although listening to those who have I can say I'm not really surprised. I think their Aquarium release as well as their private casino space is a good indicator of pricing that is definately over the top. I elected to get into neither of those releases.

I hope to be able to spend some time there given the space does look interesting but the lag on opening day wasn't very accomodating. Once I've had some time to spend there I can form a better opinion of pricing although it's not sounding good at the moment.

Also for those who have looked at the racing cart in trades the picture shows a stagecoach but you get the basic cart like the ones raced in the races. It may not be a mistake if the cart actually evolves as you level up and outfit your racing cart but that's just a speculation on my part. :/

I visited the space for a few minutes and tried the duel game once. I'm not sure that I have the motivation to grind out rewards in another space at this point, especially if the expense is significant.

Without any official word on the future of Home, it feels too much like dusting cabins in a rudderless ship.

Seems to be another grand idea for Home that looks nice, but has poor functionality and this time around is even tied in with an unbelievably ridiculous and expensive rewards/trade/exchange system. Beyond that it's real bad timing, considering I don't think a lot of people want to invest much time or money in Home knowing that it has no future--and that's really all this space is about. Sorry and good luck DL, but I would move onto disc games or something where you will at least have a better chance of making the kind of money that you're obviously trying to make.

I found one dress I like in the trading post and the amount of tokens amounted to $19!!!  I could go to forever 21 and get a real dress for that.  I really hope this pricing structure is a mistake or I predict that the Western Frontier will quickly become a ghost town.

First I thought the $1/12hrs pick axe was a consummable to boost your mining... But no! You need it to even start to grind!!!

Approx. 2hrs to dig a $1 worth of gold! Are you serious?  20hrs ( and two axes =>$2) for a $5 gold coins value?

I'd rather work double **bleep** at the shop!

The more I look at it, the less I'm interrested.
