EDIT: Just completed a stagecoach race on my alt and recieved 14 tokens for coming in second. I think I have enough gold on my main to try and come in first. This could POTENTIALLY be the only remotely fair game in this place, at least compared to the other games. It will still cost a crazy amount of gold and first place wins, and is still ludicrous.

But... Tara... You said you would never step back into the space until there was an update. I call shinanigans!

Edited first post to clarify I'd be re-entering for testing and clarification purposes, especially with all the connection problems on Home yesterday like when I got booted from the stagecoach race. Plus I wanted the free clothes on my alt, they are really nice.

Anyways, in response to what Hopper said, DL doesn't need to move to making disc based or PSN games. All they simply need to do is make purchasable token packs with comparable pricing to LKWD and Veemee's gifting machines. Gifting is a sure winner in PS Home even in this stage. People love to gift their friends, and gift token packs are always on the top 10 lists in NA and EU.

I suppose they don't want people who have money to just have everything day one. Sounds like they really want you to work for it.

If that was the intent, it was very poorly thought out. There's much better ways of doing it then this method. Ndreams Orb Runner and Granzella's fossil digging offer a much better "daily routine" with PERMANENT upgrades.

Ndreams does have some consumables and GZ does have tickets, but they aren't nearly as absurdly priced as this and doesn't require so many extra steps between the activity and the reward, let alone requiring an alt account or someone else to even get the rewards.

Home already involves enough work. I don't need any more daily chores.

I was really just trying to say that the way they are doing things, in terms of the kind of money they are trying to make (especially at this point in Home's life), they may want to consider something else. It's as if they think they are tapping into billions of dollars in Home. lol It's Home--not a place to try to make AAA developer type money. If the development costs are so much that recovering those costs results in the casual or average Home user being priced out of having fun with it, then what's the purpose?

Obviously, Home users aren't happy with it from what I've read here and heard from you and so many others. I guess DL and individual users will just have to determine if it's all really worth it or not.

So I took a look at this place today, went right to the trading post as soon as I found it. Saw the gold to token conversion and the prices they want for gold and immediately left. Some of the items are quality and good looking but I just dont have that kind of time and money anymore. Now I regret even going there and giving DL another tally to their "Number of visits to the Western Frontier"

I heard of some excessive load times here, so I timed my first time in.  8:53 pm EST I started.  At 9:16pm I couldn't take staring at Loading., Loading.., Loading..., Loading anymore and shut it down hard.  I could have loaded all of Home over 10 times in that amount of time.

Digital Leisure, stare at this post for 23 minutes and please report back how much entertainment you got out of that.

From everything I've read and heard, this space definitely isn't worth waiting out the ridiculous load times.  I won't be back. Smiley Indifferent  DG

Massive load times, multiple freezes, difficult to win games if your connection has lag, hard to achieve a single trade, expensive tokens , OMG-**bleep** were you thinking DL??? This game is too much work and waiting just to work some more for a chance to throw away time and money. OK, Digital Leisure, there is NO leisure in this digital content. If you address what seems to be unanimous community concerns I may be back.

I feel that the biggest flop in this game is the currency

You shouldnt have two types of currency tokens and gold, especially when you then take your gold and devalue it making it both pointless and worthless.  Having one type of currency tokens or gold (not both) makes the space more cohesive, very much like the casino where you pay with casino chips to earn more we would pay to play the games with gold/tokens to earn more gold or tokens, simple enough.

With that said I do like the space and the rewards, especially the camp site although very small, I feel its very cozy and it takes me to that time period, making me want to roast marshmellows and tell stories by the camp fire Smiley Happy
