Umm. Cheated during Poker?

[ Edited ]
33 replies 446 views Edited Jan 30, 2013

I literally just dominated one of the poker tables only to have the final person - All-in on both hands because he had to - get 2 straights in a row. I even had a 2 pair on the first hand. I proceeded to lose the final hand with not even a pair....no shot

seriously.

..........

actually though what the hell.

Has this happened to anyone? I have NEVER felt this cheated by a game.

CPU, not human beings were handing out those cards, so I feel like this person was given the win.

Also I never use Home, I just hopped on to roam, found the Casino and this happens............

As I see it, you simply just lost. Poker is a game of some skill and luck intertwined. This time luck was against you. That's part of the game.

But if you feel strongly that there is a technical problem that needs to be looked at and repaired, then I suggest posting it in PlayStation®Home Support. We can also send an email to techsupport@digitalleisure.com for a possible refund or assistance.

Digital Leisure uses poorly designed algorithms for all of their casino games.

Yesterday I saw a new player get a straight, two full houses, and a straight flush within nine hands.

Absurd. Do not buy chips from them.

StardustChampion is right Digital Leisure Casino is way off mathmatically... I've seen back-2-back str8's... also in real life the odds of being dealt AA is 1 in 221. however i've seen/played well over a 1000 hands and still yet to see AA, i want the reward for it's why im chasing it.

Anyway the whole casino is off odds wise... i've kept tabs on Blackjack and War and theres been occurences when things wont add up. One big one as i monetered and tabbed avery card that came out of the dealers shoe... he had 16 i had 20... over twleve 5's had been played (so there were less than half ) meanwhile i had yet to see a 3 be dealt. Magically against all expected value the dealer hits a 5 beating my near perfect hand.

Not that this doesn't happen in real life, however it feels like this casino is slanted against you. I freguently visit casino's and love the act of gambling, it's as is say my one leisure in life. But this space is a big theif. You continue to play there you will continue to see things happen that will go against natural odds.

I don't mind losing i don't like feeling cheated.

1. People who don't understand odds make me laugh.

2. ALL Casinos are slanted against the players. That's rather the point of their being in business isn't it?

The above comment is my opinion, unless I state a fact. You can disagree with my opinion, but facts are facts.

I feel the same way, JFK.

Losing is to be expected, but real casinos are not that statistically ridiculous. It happens in every game--even bingo is peculiar. The cards are poorly randomized; they seem designed to prolong games so more players will get the feel of almost winning and continue playing. Craps has to be the worst given it's one of the best games to play in an actual casino. The dice fall so poorly that none of the people who were on the leaderboard last season knew how to play.

I'd have some repsect for DL if they just admitted the odds in Paradise Springs are extremely unrealistic. Either the programmer is incompetent or they are intentionally cheating their customers. And this is ignoring the excessive take in poker & bingo, which are both over 20%.

I bought 5,000 chips about three weeks ago. A few minutes later, I won 7,000 chips. And for the last few weeks I've managed to maintain between 13,000 and 18,000 chips. I play everynight. I feel like I'm cheating Digital Leisure.

Truthfully, at some point I'll become greedy or reckless and not concentrate on the games I'm playing and eventually lose too much. At that point, I can decide to wait and collect my 100 chips each week or buy a bundle to satisfy my gambling habit. The choice is mine.

The way you play the game is the way you live your life.

Real casinos have to answer to government run gaming commissions. If a casino cheats its patrons by rigging games, it will be heavily fined and ultimately shutdown. People have gone to jail over this.

The problem with Paradise Springs is that Digital Leisure can get away with fleecing everyone because it's a game designed "for entertainment purposes only." Ask anyone who's spent a significant amount of time in the casino if the outcomes are legitimate.

No dippity-dunk-a-rue, there's a thing called "house edge" all games have it preinstalled, in roulette it's 0/00 giving the house a 5.26% edge...in craps it's about 1.41%. Keno is 25-30% depending on payouts. Blackjack varies between- # decks used, payouts, dealer stand on "Soft 17", and whether a player is alowed to split aces. it roughlly falls in the ballpark of a 0.5-2.5%

But DL's Casino goes against these pre-established odds making it seem like it's "unfair."

i'll lose $10,000 in a real casino no problem, having a blast. But in DL's casino i don't even feel like i've played before being down that much. Even though it's fake money, like i said i don't like feeling cheated. i don't mind losing @ a game i'm clearly an underdog in as long as the other opponent atleast gives me a "chance."

StardustChampion is also right that they have to answer to the Gaming Commision... who does DL report to?
