Yeah. The halberd takes more swings to kill the ogres, but it takes about the same time with the slower, stronger swings of the club.

Would you say its better to get the halberd than the club?

Yes, because you get extra points at the end. Just get use to it and once your confident with it, you can take out those red ones in 10 shots. After one charge, if you're quick enough, you can get 6 strikes, then finish him off after the 2nd charge with the final 4 strikes. Get comfortable with it 1st before you go gung ho with, though.

With full Dokuganryu Samurai Armor and the War Lance (Question for those of you with one of the other two new weapons: Does your class show up as Naginata Warrior, or something else?), you twoshot blues, and 8-shot (or 7 with a shot of oni beans) reds.

For comparison, Dokuganryu + Fire Club oneshots blues and 7 shots (6 with 1 oni bean) reds.

Personal prefrence, I'd go with the lance, just because, while the club's attacks are stronger, the lance's come out faster. And thats without factoring in the point bonus.

A very (very) basic LBP level... by me. http://lbp.me/v/pj9eqq

With the combination of the Dokuganryu, I prefer the rod.

With the rod, I can clear a round in about 3 to 4 min, rarely need to use recovering.

With the War Lance, using a similar tactic (but with more moving around) needs 4.5 to 6 min, usually need to use recovery and more prone to dying.

Not experienced with the lance and not having the devil armor might be the difference, and perhaps I need to figure out another tactic to utilize it to clear in less minutes.

Oh come guys. You haven't played this game until you've played it in a Billabong Bikini and fighting with a Ninja Sword. They're just pansies you know.
