Re: Tips for Grinding Operation Defend Edo

Feb 24, 2013
A stealth event would be grand.

I was going to purchase a new weapon for the event but none of the new ones would suit my ninja.

For the majority of my grinding, I had att: 21, def: 20.
But once I got to where I wasn't getting hit as much anymore, I dropped the Face Guard, giving me att: 21, def : 18.

My usual run would consist of popping a def pill, running under the first arch to take out the blue guy just inside, then lure the three outside to the arch and take them out.

Once done, go back out and play tag with the the first red one. When done with him, lure the second red one in the center back to starting area and play tag with him.

Then go back under arch, surprise attack the blue in alley between houses and second arch.

Then go around the back way and lure the red one away from the blue one by the training post. Play tag along the back fence. Then go back and take out the blue one.

Then go to second arch, take out the three blues there.

Then I would kill the first oni.

After that, I would run across the center to the blue guy there and take him out on way to the river to deal with the three blues back there.

Once done, I would come back out to center, pop a strength pill to get 23 attack, lure the two blues away from the red at end of road. Deal with them then go back and play tag with the red before going to finish the second oni back in the center.

Usually my guardian guy would be blinking before I finish second oni, so I would only hit the oni enough to make him start stooping then wait for guardian to collapse. Replenish the guardian then deal killing blow to second oni.

Shame they only sold clothing and weapon items for a bonus. They could have perhaps had an item you could use. I know I like the ninja attack with my costume and haven't been wanting to learn a different one.

Running with other weapons looks a bit clunky! Smiley Wink

I messaged Gz. I suggested that they should allow some LMO weapons. We can't use LMO's normally, so it would be nice to use that slot for a weapon so we can use full body costumes. I don't know if they are interested or if it's feasible. But would hope they do that.

Also, that training dummy should let you practice with a halberd. Oh well. It's training on the job so to speak. Smiley Happy

I was personally trying recently for the top 100 (at 90 this morning). The race appears to be heating up and I'm not sure it's worth the effort. I don't get a bonus with my Sexy Ninja costume and sword and I'm at 135k at the moment.

It's fun though although competing for positions is seriously too much work given the race seemed to seriously heat up yesterday. Smiley Happy

Can someone clarify what the rewards are at each reward level? As a side note I've earned all the rewards now from the old lady including all the teapots.

Darn I was going for the top 100, but I may have to settle for the top 400.

YesterdayI went to HK and did Edo for the first time. I teamed with my friend and did a group mission in Edo. He had a Metal Rod and killed the yellows for me. I kill just a blue or two and exited. Now I'm about 150th rank!!! Just 30 points. Not 30K, but 30. And I'm 150th!!

Everyone seems to be pushing really hard to get to/stay in the top 100. Can't take a day off without getting bumped down 10+ spots. This is gonna be a tight finish. Smiley Tongue
