Many of us in Home have very clever names for our PSN accounts.
And we are quite proud of how we came up with those names. And many of us have put as much effort into the name as we have spent on beautifying our avatars.
...So, I thought I'd start a thread to allow us to explain (brag) about our names.
I'll start...I'm cbeyond, because I "see beyond" the obvious.
The name also came from a magazine my parents published in the 1990's called BEYOND.
So post 'em...I want to know why you're named what you are
Mine actually comes from a group of friends I met on a messaging system called Great Lakes FreeNet back in the late 80's early 90's. We called ourselves MadDawgs. Well, Great Lakes FreeNet died. So I brought the name back in a couple of email accounts and here. The number at the end is interesting too, it is a shortened version of my birthdate. The middle number is the month, the last number and the middle number are the day, and the first two numbers are the year. Yea, Yea, I know I'm Getting OLD!!! LOL
"G" is the first letter of my first name (Not going to drop it here, for obvious reasons); also, I am a fan of the Half-Life series of games and I am paying homage to the mysterious "Gman" character who seemingly materializes out of nowhere, then disappears again; finally, it's an homage to the 1920s and 1930s nickname given to FBI and Revenue (early ATF) agents, famously reputed to be started by John Dillinger with the line "Don't shoot me, G-Men, don't shoot me!" wherein the "G" stands for Government Men.
Harmon just happens to be my last name. And there you have it.
If you want a picture of Home's future, imagine a boot stamping on an avatar's face... forever.
What we have here is failure to communicate. Some people you just can't reach.

Can someone please explain to me how I got a kudos for explaining how i got my name?
I give kudos to everyone who shares their name. I have since the beginning of the thread.
Its a very personal thing to share - and many of those sharing have made this their first post on the forums.
