lol I see why ppl in Vegas can go broke so easily, just playing table after table & look up haha almost 3 hours when by quick. Seen a few hand amount glitches but I guess some glitches were to be expected. Not complaining tho lol my poor play has kept me where I'm at. So far just basically breaking even but sadly that won't be good enough too make semi's. On the bright side I've last longer than expected.
*Update- 3 hours in & the top leader is @ 9375,.. #36 is @ 6625 ,.. still a chance for top 36 I suppose
this weekend we are hosting the BETA Poker Tournament
Nice job using the same crappy turbo blind structure for the qualifying round.
At the first two tables I played, I saw four showdowns with the same hole cards.
Your poker is still awful. It's nearly as bad as the rest of your table games.
Everyone who's ever played in a real tournament or casino knows it, but you just don't seem to care.
Try this and see if it helps you:
Yeah, I was surpised they kept the same blind structure for the game. I played 3 games and all 3 of them were determined by the massive blinds at the end so I just quit. The blinds get way too large way too quick and it ruins the game because by the time you get to heads up or even to down to 3 people, the blinds are so large that you are pretty much all in every hand. Why even bother changing it for Day 2 since it already affected Day 1 contestants? It should have been changed in all the poker tables in the casino before now. I like the Casino but this is just extremely disappointing and irritating.
The blind structures are the way they are so that more games can complete. The semis and the finals will have slower blind raises.
I understand that since there is limited time to play and qualify for day 2 but i wish the blinds did not have such a major impact on some of the winners of the tables. I just feel like the blinds dictate the winners of many tables played due to the large sizes. I think having a little slower blind rate for the regular rooms and the qualifing rooms would be a good idea in the future. It would help give players a bit more time to play and win more by skills rather than just watching yourself go all in and hope you get lucky at the end til it is over. As for the tournament, I think it is a great idea. The atmosphere was great and I enjoyed everything about it other than the blind issue. I am now curious to see who wins it all. lol
Ah, good luck to everyone who made it past round 1. I was 2000 chips away from reaching the board May I suggest a later start time for next year. The tournament started at 8am in the morning where I'm from and lets just say I'm not a morning person. Lol. Anyhow, thanks Digital Leisure for the tournament and again good luck to those who placed!
Congratulations to the players who qualified. It was a long day, but it was fun.
And for those of us who didn't qualify, better luck next time. We'll have our turn.
I hope this was a very successful beta. Thank you, Digital Leisure, for the chance to participate.
