Re: The Batman mask available in NA

Feb 11, 2011

I guess I'll never get this cowl, since we only bought one copy of the game and I can't afford another $60 on top of subscription fees.

We bought the game for our family and I tried to buy months on my account and couldn't.. I contacted support and they said I'd need to buy another copy of the game if i wanted it on my account, apparently it's one activation only per purchased game.

Me sad!

I was kinda hoping that we got the Batman Costume when I got Batman: Arkham Asylum. BTW, I was very happy with the free Batcave Apartment. Hopefully, we'll get a costume for Arkham CIty

Haha it's a rental?? $60 + $15/month and they thank you by letting you borrow a virtual mask?

Just wanted to make sure I got this straight. Man, I love DC and especially Batman but I'm not about to dump my money into that game, especially with lame promotions like this one.

@BanhiDancer - Sorry to hear that, man. That's a real raw deal.

Since the name of the item is DC Universe™ Online Mask: Inspired by BATMAN, I don't think that it's supposed to look exactly like Batman.

I have to admit that I was surprised to see the item. Since they added it well after people subscribed and use the Subscripion as the thing Home looks at, they could add other items later on.

As Far as I know the mask is still available but you have to subscribe to DCUO in order to get it. Also I think that when your suscription runs out you loose the mask as well but im not sure how that works thats just my understanding of it.

So long as they keep the STUPID idea of any virtual item being a "rental," they can put that stuff into storage where the sun don't shine...

How lame and money grubbing can you get, "renting" virtual clothing?

Bad enough we win tons of virtual stuff that we can't get rid of, now we have virtual stuff that we may want, but can't keep unless we pay $15/mo for the privilege????

No thank you, DC. Absolute FAIL on your part!

My POV: Enjoy YOUR Home experience, without forcing it on those around you.
RESPECT is FREE. You will get what you give.
