I was origionally going to get this as a fan of Steampunk goodness, but at a digital arm and leg price, it's not worth it. I'll stick to my goal of being able to honestly say I got to level 100 w/o buying boosters. >.> Under $2 I'd have gotten it, but $3.5 is bat... crazy.
I don't budlist-add on forums, and blank PSN requests get ignored!
Missing Rewards -over a year old, still never fixed! 3-4 months worth of items still MIA.
If someone is just starting out on Orb Runner, the best purchase is Aurora Defense, now on sale at $3.99.This will double your daily XP earning potential, give you a new game and a personal space. If you look at the total number of rewards including the personal space awarded at lvl 100, the prices for the boosters are not that bad. But, I have a friend at level 94 who has not bought ANY extras. It just takes a year of daily dedication. So, how much is your time worth ? How bad do you really want those rewards ? At this point, having played on a fairly regular basis, I may buy this new XP booster item for completeness. It costs less than a gallon of gasoline !
Not to mention, purchasing the Neon Goggles and Max Time booster sets (if I said that correctly). One of my friends starting out on Aurora (actually she was only on level 3) bought those items, did a round of OrbRunner and jumped up 2 levels. I think these boosters in general are a help, especially if your still on the lower levels. Obviously the hoodie doesn't go into effect until one reaches level 55.
Btw, great gasoline reference.
I bought it and yes when playing the Island Defense it did boost my XP to 1250. I kind of wish it wasn't 3.49 but I won't lie and say the item isn't worth it(I actually found it a cute item to wear in home).
Thanks for the information. I had planned on getting the hoodie but I'm not at level 55 yet, and since this works sooner and better, it sounds like it's worth the extra $.50, even if I don't get the hoodie.
In another thread, an Aurora rep said they are improving the contraption/hoodie combo to make them 4X the XP, rather than 3X.
