Sounds like a nightmare, given this forum is a cliquish microcosm of an already niche product.

I don't think painting ISE abusers with the same brush is fair. They certainly aren't causing direct harm to members of the community.

ISE abuse is the first step in the wrong direction.  This emboldens them just like a graffiti tagger.  It is also subversive by its very nature.  We can no longer romanticize subversives as some kind of antihero ala Anonymous.  Criminals are criminals and there is no grey area. And intelligent criminals are the most dangerous.  The next 9-11 will not be planes flying into buildings it will be hackers doing anything to destroy whatever it is they are imagining is haunting their personal psychosis.   BTW I dont watch tv.   Just netflix and crackle.

Be careful who you stick up for because plenty of people would dissagree with that statement and since you made the statement please explain how is ISE not harmful to the community to have people copy what has taken others a long time to achieve?  Explain to the people in the casino that has spent their hard earned money and put in a lot of time to get a leaderboard jacket that gets copied, explain how its fair that people grinded away and spend money on the setsubon event only to have people DO WHAT?  ISE the items.  As far as im concerned any form of hacking, cheating, copying or disruption of game play is bad and or harmful to the community

I don't have a problem with their patching the issue but bans and permabans I don't think will happen. One could say similar things for those of us who region travel. Some things directly affect the well being of the community like freezing whereas others don't. Hacking rewards isn't something that should happen but I don't think the same penalties should apply.

One simply needs to spend time at Glittering Sands to see how many people do ISE. It's not uncommon. I don't approve of it. On the other hand where do you draw the line with banning users? I would prefer they patch the issue.

I agree that it should be stopped. Some rewards do require an outlay of cash to earn them. The recent EDO event certainly showed that as do the rewards you need to spend money to earn at the Casino and other venues.

Are you suggesting permabans for users who do this? Major offenses like freezing servers are things that warrant severe penalties in my view.
