To access the Open Beta in July, people said u need to sign up on the certain website to play, what i dont understand is that, when u do sign up for the beta, does it go directly to ur ps3 and u can play it then? or do u have to download it from the store?

You have the concept screwed up. Open beta still doesn't mean anyone with a PS3 can still get it. It can change at anytime how they will go about it. All companies don't Beta test the same. I've tested Vista from builds 5139 all the way until RC1 and their beta proccess isn't the same. You needed a valid Windows Vista Beta Product Key that only Microsoft can give you; there's no publically available keys for something that isn't publically released. It would be bootlegged like crazy. Same goes for any beta. It depends on the company and how well and organized they want the beta to be; even if they open a registration site on a first come- first serve basis. You still have to have beta info on file so anyone can't just get a beta out of nowhere and leak mad s*** out.
i.e. Halo 3's beta is on the Crackdown disc. There's only a certain number being produced. And you won't know where they are. The discs themselves can be copied as we all know in the homebrew scene which = Crackdown+Halo 3 beta on isohunt, mininova, or torrentreactor. Sony is smart for not doing it that way, give them props. That's why home is going to rock!
