Regarding the drama in VIP@casino 2/1

30 replies 798 views Edited Jan 2, 2013

Today I witnessed a drama in VIP that made me sick. People I asume are grown up was loudly complaning to the DL dev who had turned up that they been told to lay off the donking aka all in every round, that they had done in order to get god spot on new lb.

This was something these people couldn't accept and therefore started a megadrama. And I would like to say to all of you that you should get a grip on yourself. There is so much **bleep** everywhere in the world, and Home is a place to enjoy a god time with friends and get new ones.

So shame on you!

Could they make it so users cant donk repeatedly like that? Or does it ruin the game of poker to limit your hands? Thats a tricky subject as its very antisocial towards new players with few chips but technically isnt disallowed.

You can have Texas Hold'em with limits, but personally I think it takes quite a bit away from the game so would much rather it stay as it is as No Limit. All the big competitions are No Limit so wouldnt like to see the tables be limited in anyway.

People that do go all-in every hand have every right to do so, and you cant really tell them not to, although I do agree it can mess the game up a bit. However, they wont keep on winning, and sooner or later they will go out. The good thing about buying chips is it eliminates alot of this play as they soon realize it costs them money, unlike at the Home Hold'em where its free and if you lose your chips your automatically given some more.

Just ride it out, it will soon get back to normal.

You know what really combats the people that do this well?  Don't call.

That is untill you have a hand you know will beat them, then put them in thier place!  Smiley Tongue

Actually I don't mind having a player like this at the table, more often than not it ends up me and them playing heads up, then I take them to school!

Their complaints sound justified since the randomizers in all of DL's games are flat out terrible. Bingo is awful.

It's something that first semester CS students should be able to code, but they can never get their games right.

Further, it's pretty clear DL is clueless when it comes to casino games. There should at least be pot, spread, cap and fixed limit tables. The only game with a variant is single deck blackjack; but, anyone who's spent more than a few hours playing it knows how screwed up their blackjack probabilities are.

So until these problems are addressed, more players need to complain to the DL devs on sight. The people who kiss their butt whenever there's a post about the casino's latest shiny new toy are making things much worse.

For people like myself that don't play poker.

Donk or Donkey definition:

Definition: If a poker player is called a 'donkey,' he's a bad player who makes blatantly bad poker plays. A weak player. Donkey is also shortened to "donk" by many players to announce that they're playing badly or planning to, as in "I'm going to donk it up tonight."

Well I don't mind either truth be told if people do a all in some time during a game. And from what I understand, it's not this that dl has complained about.

It's the fixed (if you want to call them that) games where 6 people constantly donk, and switch places making shure no one else can join that should be stopped. And that I agree on that.

And what specifically got me upset was that the very same peole that complained the most was from what I have understood the same ones that has gotten others banned, rightfully or not I do not know. But hearing these people complain when I at the same time see a name on top of lb of someone they clearly know that I never has seen in any game smells rotten. And considering how much time I spend there I should logically have run in to this person 1 time or another.

In that case, their argument is still justified. It sounds like they're playing within the rules Digital Leisure created, just not the way the developer intended. The casino exists for amusement; if these players entertain themselves by boosting some irrelevant leaderboard, good for them. If DL has a problem with what they're doing, the poker tables should be redesigned to prevent it from happening. Banning users because of your incompetence as a developer is rude and lazy.

If this developer had any integrity, they would get rid of the leaderboards. Unfortunately, Digital Leisure makes too much money off of losers who take them seriously. I've never seen a multiplayer game that was improved by the addition of online rankings.

I agree, but that won't happen. And if it is so important for those people, why not take a private discusasion with dl, no need for the rest of us to hear it.
