Re: Problems in Great Edo of Nippon

Some basic tips for the styles I've played as:

Sword, Staff: Thrust Attack.
Ninja Sword: Spin Attack if you have it, Thrust Attack if not.
Oni Club: Jump Attack. The fire club, on its own, oneshots blues with the jump.

Red Ogre (All Styles): Use the archways leading to the row houses. They can't get through them, so if you have long range (oni club, yo yo), just stay outside of his reach and plink him to death. Shorter range, bait him into attacking and hit him during his cooldown.

A very (very) basic LBP level... by me. http://lbp.me/v/pj9eqq

I recieved the Oni statues and the little umbrella after the update. Still haven't received the others though...

With my YoYo, I can get through the whole thing without healing once.

I always keep moving around the Blues, and hit them from behind after their attacks.

Walking through the doorway, I can attack the reds safely at a distance. (cheap, but meh)

Learning the pattern of the golden ones is key for deafeating them with any weapon.

I still haven't bought anything other than my YoYo, and not sure if I plan to...

I've seen only two mini-dolls (samurai female and a female in a kimono – Pink) and neither has been rewarded. I did get the two large Oni ones but nothing else. I didn't see a mini-umbrella one.

Can someone clarify what is and is not popping. I'm a bit distressed given I have been collecting the dolls.

Only the new Oni orges were rewarded for me.

I've seen the same two mini ones and it's been no go for me. I believe there was another one but I can't remember what it was and I didn't receive it so I can't go back and see.

I'm at work, so I'm trying to go off of memory here.

Sorry, my memory sucks. Cat Tongue

Umbrella Demon - Awarded

Golden Oni - Awarded

Blue Oni - Awarded

Red Oni - Never appears

Starving Demon - Never appears

One-Eyed Demon(?) - Knocked down not rewarded

Samurai Doll [Man] - Knocked down not rewarded

Samurai Doll [Woman] - Knocked down not rewarded

I think there were other towns-folk that show up from time-to-time. I can't remember if I actually hit any of those.

The Blue Oni actually didn't award me the first time. It wasn't until I knocked it down a second time that I was awarded this item. (Not sure if it was due to lag, or because the first one didn't register)

Is the Umbrella Demon a mini? I haven't seen that one yet. I've seen a mini Samurai women with sword. That didn't pop for me.

Ah, it's the "Umbrella Ghost"

http://alphazone4.com/store/#cat12591

He was a pretty decent size. Not quite as large as the Oni dolls, but on the shelf he was larger than the Samurai Man.

It's so annoying when points don't save correctly. It's enough work but to have it not save is really frustrating. Really makes you wonder if it's really worth the effort.
