You've probably got your PS3 set to update the date and time automatically via the Internet.
I recommend using Set Time Manually. You'll have to change it twice a year, but you wont hve to go looking for the Daylight Savings Time setting.
It's automatic in the sense that your PS3 sets its clock to the PSN servers that one time you tell it to. It's not very intuitive. "Synchronize time with online server" would be a better descriptor.
I guess Sony left the Daylight Savings Time option manual in case governments decide to mess around with their Daylight Savings Rules again.
yeah, DST/ST are probably manual, since states like arizona and hawaii dont observe it there are others i know, but those are the only two i remember lol
