Re: Oldest female gamer in Home

Awww that's sweet how you and your mom can play games together.  I showed my mom how to play Sports Champions and she got a real kick out of it, but that's probably the only kind of game she'd go for.  Home has bowling and golf, but I think all the deviant behavior in Home would really drive her up the wall.  She particularly likes helping me furnish my apartments though

If Home and its successors are still here decades from now, and we all stick with it, bringing in other older gamers (both male and female), just imagine how different the experience will be.  And I hope my future kids won't be too cool to play with their mom.

Nice to meet you in person tonight, incahoots.  Yes, DarthGranny is the dark alter-ego of Keara22HI.  I needed two accounts because of this ridiculous limit on Friend Lists.  Now I am close to needing a third account for same reason.  I am considering using the name Wynne after the elderly heroine white mage in Dragon Age Origins.  I actually telephoned David Gaider at Bioware in Canada and thanked him for creating that playable character.   Sometimes I get tired of playing some FF punk who is too young to shave so it is nice to have a female who is a tough fighter without looking like she paid too much to a plastic surgeon for inplants.

You should see Flemeth in DA2 (if you haven't already) - I want to play her character SOOOOOOO badly!  Sad that she has such a small part in it - She is wicked awesome!

Check out this video of her:

yes!  and the voice-over for Flemeth was done by Kate Mulgrew, one of my all-time favorites from the Star Trek series.

If this is 100% true, Keara, then your 2 years older than my grandma ^_^

though, unlike you, my grandma would rather bake cookies then go on my playstation.

Bake something?  You mean like, learn how to COOK?  Not a chance.
