Movie Night

19 replies 6 views Edited Jul 24, 2007
I was wondering if when we go to the movies could we stream our movies off the PS3 into the theater? Say if I had my friends and we wanted to watch GoodFellas, could I do that? Also, if that could be done, would I be able to do it by placing a dvd inside the PS3 or just by having the file on the PS3 already?

I think it only streams media already stored on the HDD.

I know you can stream things in your HDD, not sure about Blu-Ray Discs or DVD's or whatever the movie is.

They have already stated that you can launch a BD movie, but it will log you out of Home to watch it. I am sure it is the same for DVD's.

I know if you have movies or any kind of videos on your HDD, you can have it play on T.V.s in your house. But, for movie theathers, I'm pretty sure Sony is in control of that. But, what would be cool is if you could rent a theater and have people come and watch. That would be really cool.
