Wingsuit Base Jumping mini games! Have it so that users can select from different base jumping hot spots around the globe. Check out my youtube link at the bottom which documents two men who jumped off of the Burj Dubai and live to tell about it.

We really need this:

We need more colour choices for things like hair, eyes, makeup, and even our text bubbles. I think this would be a great alternative to our very limited selection of colours right now.

I like this one. I could imagine the highest chamber at the very top being the Personal Space. That would be awesome. Then we could get some really cool fantasy & goth costumes to go with.

I love you ideas hon. You should get a job working as a consultant for Sony!

This should be for the Home text colors, Playstation theme and menu colors, and recently-added profile colors.  I'm not sure if this would slow things down, but if this were universal it would feel a lot more polished.

I have a great idea for a club.  I also have a personal space getting dusty.  I want to be able to choose a personal space in the navigation as the location for where my club meets.

I currently don't have a club, since it seems something will happen regarding them this or next month.  The disclaimer says they will not charge earlier than 31 March.

CONVERT ALL CLUBS TO PRIVATE SPACES AND ALLOW HOSTING PRIVATE SPACES ON THE HOME SERVERS

I've noticed that there is a problem with personal spaces and clubs.Once we get it we show all our friends and everyone has fun for a few days. But a week later we get bored, our friends get bored, and we stop going there and never use it again. It's kind of a waste. And its a problem for Sony because they constantlyspend alot of money generating content otherwise many of us will get bored, our friends stop coming on and Home will die.

I think the new locoroco space in japan holds a great idea to increase thelongevity of a space: Have a counter for visitors, and have that unlockadditions to the space!

For example, Sony(or a gamecompany like SquareEnix) can create a Final Fantasy 13 club or private space. We buy it, and everyone goes there and has fun. And then after awhile, we hit a quota of 20 visitors and then an addition to the space appears. It can be something big and cool like a statue of Lightning, or a mecha, or something really simple like a photo of Vanille appears on the wall. But an addition to the space  would befun! Then after 50 more visitors a FF13 mecha figurine appears. After 20 more, a photo of Snow appears. After 100, a statue of Lightning's sister. And so on!

This would generate traffic to the space as we show all our friends our new stuff. And then we would have something to do, we bring our friends again and again to the space, up our visitor counter, and get the next unlockable. We could easily spend a month or more having fun unlocking stuff! And Sony or the game company can always upgrade the space with more unlockables to further increase the interest in the space. You don't have to build a whole new space. Just add small unlockables.

We would be constantly have fun building up our space. That would increase our enjoyment of Home over a longer time. We would have fun helping a friend build up their space. It gives us something fun to do. And it makes Home funner too!

AND,  if there is an advertisement in the space, then Sony makes advertising revenueeach time a person visits that space. So that helps Sony make a profit. It also helps the game company advertise and build up excitement for theirproduct.

So Sony ends up making a little more cash, Home has more entertainment value, we have more fun, and game company builds excitement for their product. Sounds like a hit all the way around!!!

Also clubs and personal spaces should be the same thing.

I would like to see features from both combinedtogether into a single type of owned space. And the owner should have preference options as to whether thespace acts more like a club or a private space. An ownedspace could have a list of friends that can come or go as they please. If we want the space to act as a private space, we deactivate that list orremove all members from that list.

In addition,it would be nice if the owner could invite people to the owned space withoutadding them to the member list. So that they are given temporaryone-time-only invites to the space. This would be good if a friend of afriend wants to come.

But ii would like to see private spaces and clubs combined and have more preference setting choices. =]

I posted a list in Feb, so don't have anything new to add but would like to see the music in the new FF space to be heard throughout the entire space. If you move near the windows or the center sunken part, you can't hear it.

USING CREDIT CARDS FROM FOREIGN REGIONS

Technically alot of people cross regions. They make accounts in other regions than where they live.  People from USA want to go to Home Japan. And people from Japan and Europe like coming to our NA Home.

AND THEY WANT TO SPEND MONEY.

BUT THEY CAN'T SPEND MONEY.

They want to spend money. Home could earn more money. But the billing address form won't allow them to put in THEIR address. Because the account address form forces you to select an AMERICAN state (like New York). And that's an error. And faulty information on your billing address can get you a MAC BAN!! Your whole PS3 machine gets banned off the PSN Network PERMANENTLY!

That happened to me when one of my account fields for my address was blank. I had used a SONY CREDIT CARD for a year with no problem. Then suddenly SONY banned my whole PS3 machine for CHRISTMAS when they changed their policy. For CHRISTMAS.  PERMANENTLY. BANNED FOREVER.  Took ten hours on the phone to get it fixed. Being that it was for Christmas I was doubly ticked.  And I wasn't the only one. I was one of many. Several people from foreign countries had to abandon their NA accounts (that they had spend money on all year) cause the long distance phone bill to talk overseas to Sony customer support was too high.

Anyways, you can't use your credit card if you aren't living in the right region. So NA Home can't profit directly from the MANY users coming to it from abroad. And there are many foreign users.

So these foreigners to NA Home have to get a NA PSN card. And here's the problem. SONY offers no way to get one. They have to find it online. And people charge you a good chunk of money for it!

This is taken from one website that offers US PSN cards.

a $20 PSN card costs $29

a $50 costs $63

That's like a 25% to 30% markup fee.

That increases the cost of buying anything in Home. And NA Home prices are already a bit high. So that high cost acts as a deters people from spending in Home.

It also is money that SONY could be making. If Sony sold PSN cards, then that's about 25-30% more money that foreigners would spend on Home. Rather than spending that 25%-30% on a middleman, Sony could get that extra cash for itself.

So Sony really should make a way for foreigners to use their foreign credit cards in Home or create some way for them to get PSN cards for use with Sony products.

Sony would make more money. And a lot of their frequent customers in Home would be much happier. Many of their big spenders would be happier. And again, Sony would make MORE MONEY.

Re: MARCH Miscellaneous Suggestion Thread (for all but Virtual Item requests)

Mar 14, 2010

Previous Suggestion I have made (If you're interested in taking a look)

New Public Space

Now, I know this has been suggested by others several months ago. I, however, would like to delve A LOT deeper into this space and how it can work to be a really exciting casino for all of us. Please read further, as this suggestion is more about the text than the pictorial illustrations...

The casino should be a large space comparable to the size of EA Sports Complex. All people visiting the space should spawn at it's lobby. At the center of the lobby will be The Front Desk with an NPC clerk who can be accessed via a que system.

The front desk will offer you several options:

Basic Hotel Room (Personal Space): $1.99 - $2.99

The basic room is obviously not spaceous, but what makes this room truly wonderful is the view from it's small balcony...

The view should be fully animated with fountains and lights, but of course users may want more space. For that, they can purchase...

The Hotel Suite (Personal Space): $4.99 - $6.99

I was unable to find a schematic of a hotel suite that also has a swimming pool, but the above pictures should give you an idea of what I am driving at. The pool is a very unique addition to this space because it actually functions as a sort of mini game. Around the pool avatars are given the option to sit along the edges. Inside the pool, new avatar animations are available like "swim" or "Splash" to splash water on each other. In addition to these features, going to one edge of the pool gives access for four people to play a game called "chicken" which I am sure you're familiar with. If not, it's when a person sits atop the shoulders of another person, and they face another team of two, to see which can push the other off their friends shoulders first.

Another small touch would be that when approaching the exit door of your hotel room, you would be given the option to re-enter the casino space instead of Central Plaza to form the illusion that you are still within the casino. To access your hotel room, you can do so via the PDA's Navigator, or by accessing the elevators in the hall behind the Front Desk.

The Front Desk will also offer you playing chips for the games within the Casino free of charge. But, there will be a limit of $5,000 per day. With your request for funds, you will be able to see how much money was asked for, and how much money you earned as well... And yes, these amounts roll over from one day to the next as statistics that both you and friends can view.

To the left and right of the front desk, are the attached "Gaming Rooms". I say "attached" because there should be no loading involved. They are part of the same space. (More on the Gaming Rooms' details afterwards.) To the back of both gaming rooms, are entry doors to...

The Special Events Theater

Here people can see exclusives shows updated monthly. Whether it be classic sporting events, concerts, magic shows, and anything else you may see as an event in a real casino. The clerk will give you the tickets for viewing absolutely free. But, you will also be given the option to keep the video in your hard drive for future private viewing. The cost of a video can range anywhere from $1.99 - $5.99. Of course, it will not exceed these prices due to the video being compressed and therefore not given in HD or even Standard quality (like the videos in the current theater). The content in these theaters should obviously be exclusive and not something presented in the Central Plaza Theater.

So I guess it's time to talk about the actual game right? Here we go...

The Game Rooms

The slot machines offer something truly unique for Home. Besides being able to build your virtual bank with these items, there will also be odds attached to it's program. Certain patterns in the slot machines will yield certain virtual items. The most difficult odds would obviously be for a jackpot, which would be a "7-7-7" that would only happen randomly with the odds being 1 of 1,000,000. This would obviously be a SUPER RARE FREE ITEM! Also, other odds for certain patterns could be 1 of 250,000, 1 of 500,000, 1, 100,000 and 1 of 50,00 and so on. Slot machines for money you can make from card games is pretty boring. But, you can definitely boost interest with putting rare virtual items in the mix.

The game rooms will offer many popular casino games. To allow many players to play and still prevent a programming nightmare. There are two separate game rooms on either side of the Front desk, and games are placed in sections. This means, several poker tables in one section and then several black jack tables in another. Okay, still a programming nightmare, but hey, it helps Smiley Tongue

Games include: Black Jack, Roullette, Poker, Craps, and other popular casino games. Though Poker is already available in the EA Spaces, this one is slightly different. Since you're in a casino, you now have a static NPC dealer.

Leave and join games at will: Since the purpose here is to build your individual bank, you will be able to join any existing game and of course leave any existing game. Because dealers are static, this should not be an issue programming wise. To stop people from causing a game crash or glitch, once leaving a game, you should not be able to return within a certain amount of time.

A cafe similar to the Gamer's Lounge could also be attached as a place for users to meet up and discuss their experiences within the casino and also a special store to use your virtual money to purchase exclusive "high line" items like jewelry, suits, sunglasses, and other similar items you would see in a real Hotel Casino.

This is basically a new and exciting space filled with games, rewards, exclusive content and a true reason to keep users coming back time and time again. Please kudo and reference if you like this idea so management knows how much you want this. Also, feel free to take a look at my previous suggestion linked at the top of this post.

Thanks for reading
