It's funny how most of the people here /for/ these outfits, and don't think they're pervy, are men, and men dressing as women. Ironic.

Has nothing to do with a way person feels about an item, or content getting released on Home.

Idiotic statement.

I'm going to buy one of these. But that doesn't mean anything. I'm not being forced to wear the item out in public. I could always wear the item in the comfort of one of my personal spaces without users running up to me asking to cyber.

To D-NITRATE

1) Replying to and quoting the same person more than once before they give you a response to the first message is a little bullish.

2) What you did was a strawman political where you tried to diminish my viewpoint by claiming it's a different viewpoint altogether (in this case, if I didn't share your viewpoint I'm prudish and a little insecure about my sexuality). Actually that was more of a personal attack, so a little uncalled for...

3) I'm definitely not prudish if you go to the EU boards. I was a big supporter of more womens clothes (esp. at the time more revealing stuff because at the time there was none). The problem I'm having here is not that there is swimwear. See 4

4) The problem I see is this - it's great we have it but now there's just way too much and it seems to be the only stuff the women are given. Sure it's pretty bad in EU but over here it takes the biscuit. There is also a culture difference. Yes people in EU wear the swimsuits a lot, and there are the hordes of chasers and attention seekers to go with getup but here its' almost a culture in itself and way way overboard. The fact they pushed this stuff onto you first so brazenly is a tad insulting to US culture and women. But to be fair it's not the women even buying these things it's mostly guys again letting the women down.

5) I think it's great there's choice and I think it's great there's more revealing clothes but...don't you think we're going too far one way now and women are being limited to wearing nothing or wearing out of date stock?

Basically everything that Ed said. The ladies should be bashing SCEE and SCEA's heads against the wall about real clothing and real fashion and do it until they give us what we want, but the American's just don't realise what they're doing, and it's mostly the men's faults.

I don't get the whole "real clothing" argument. It's not like there's any shortage of normal clothes for women.

Ed, you make assumptions based on how you feel and then post it as if these are un questionable facts (which of course they are not, they are just your own personal opinions), and then when that opinion is challenged you claim you are being personally attacked.  There is no room for discussion under these terms.

I'll leave this "debate" with some objective facts.  There are literally well over a thousand clothing items in Home for women (many also being available as free rewards), with new items being added regularly, that are not sexually revealing, and in no way is anyone even remotely close to being forced to wear sexually revealing clothes in Home... Nor is anyone forced to stare at them.  Suggesting otherwise is, in the words of Joe Biden, a bunch of malarkey.

Frankly, its unfortunate, but says so much about large parts of our society, that there is far more outrage over sexual content in the world (and in Home) then there is over the drastic exploitation of violent behavior.

In our neighborhood, there are so-called GCMs (Good Christan Moms) who have no problem letting their teenage sons play ultra violent realistic video games like Modern Warfare where they are not only shooting people's heads off and cutting their throats with a knife, but even doing that with their own friends online... But freak out and boycott game stores for selling video games with scantily clothed women... Not even naked, and not even showing pornographic images.

I guess many still believe violence is more acceptable than sex... Although in an interesting way, the theory of evolution proves both are neccesary components for life to continue to evolve.  I'm hoping my teams survives. Smiley Happy

But those games are age rated highly. That's the difference between PS Home and a Call of Duty game.

Call of Duty games are 18+

PS Home in the NA region is 13+. That just strikes me as sickening. 13 year olds are allowed legal access to this kind of service. I'm not talking the bikinis, I'm talking the people on there as well

PS Home in the EU region is 16+. This is a fair age rating, but I believe PS Home, just like all other virtual worlds, should be 18+

Except the fact is these are not 18+ year old kids playing Modern Warfare, many are not even in High School yet that have moms approval of playing those games... In fact my wife and I were shocked to find out that a friend of ours lets their 8 year old play Modern Warfare!

That why its so ridiculous that they not only let their underage kids play those hyper violent games, but then freak out over even the smallest amount of sexual content in a game.

BTW: If you think violent content is restricted to just games rated for 18+ you are grossly mistaken.    Once again, this isn't a personal opinion based on how I "feel", it's a fact.  Violent content is not only readily available in countless games rated for under age kids, but far far exceeds any sexual content, even in games rated for mature adults.
