In home do people launch into a game from there?

In the gdc demo of home, it shows players launch right into little big planet from that interface. How exactly does that work? Do both players need to own the game or is one given a demo? I doubt the feature will be implemented in home right away but it sure looks cool and fluid.

I can't say yes/no right now, but here is a close official answer.

Q: Can you enter, say, MotorStorm™ quickly through Home without
having to travel to the specific MotorStorm™ lobby?

A: Currently, users can find each other in Home, and then arrange to go off and
play MotorStorm™ at the same time. Eventually, users will be able to meet in
Home and seamlessly launch into a game of MotorStorm™. Similarly, users
will be able to exit to Home directly from the game.
