totally agree with original post on his comments but on a side note...

im pretty sure it takes at least one person to manage a housing deparment and more than one person to run a water tower, and im entirely sure parks have clean up crews paid for by the city so our citizens can be employeed and kept happy....and family farms employee people more than just a family business.

my argument= my people need jobs and the realism that is not in the game prevents my people from being productive to our community....

p.s. i am willing to spend extra money for extensive mental health care, more specifically , a psychiatric ward for those who convinced me to burn our buildings to prevent alien invaders....i honestly don't know who is crazier them for thinking aliens would corrupt our little city or me for believing that crap.

I don't get it?  Why should we assume that Home Tycoon has reached it's limits?  Sony has told us that Home Tycoon is going to keep getting bigger and just a few days (Oct 24th 2012) ago they added the Holistic Campus.

More places will be added.

Good point!  That would also be an easy fix.

Home was never met for full game play. I just for game that you can socialize in and meet people in. If they did put more in more in the game like home tycoon they would face law suits from the game sim city and other ones. I hope never has full games and more games for up to four players to make friends and socialize.

it's pretty much a sandbox game, you have some missions to get you rolling, but those are really to introduce you to the game, and sometimes introduce new buildings and activities.

After youre done with missions, it's pretty much your pet city that you play around with.  Right now, I'm hoarding my city's money, so I can have enough to change it up whenever I feel like it.

I only bought the expansion packs, but the game can get very expensive if youre not patient.  Checking up on your town a few times a day to gather money with your workers and build is the cheap (or even free) way to play.  If you want everything right away, you can pony up the dough for gold coins to buy workers and dollars straight up, but that's too rich for my blood (it's like buying tons of chips in the casino, rather than winning them)

Plase go back and re-read the post's made on page one.

In no way am I saying Home Tycoon should be a full game

Also please note that Home is made by Sony Home Tycoon is made by Hellfire Games.

The question at hand is:  Is Home a game?  Is it fun?  It's very easy for any player to make the top players list just by haveing Luxury Life Towers and only Luxury Life Towers.  In my mind in order for it to be more game like the rules have to chage and the people in the town need to be fully happy.

I just visited the Biggest City. It literally is just 255 Luxury Life Towers and a Windmill Array. How much did it cost to build this "winner"?

If this is what it takes to scale the Home Tycoon leaderboard, I'll pass. I prefer my modest but still developing city of about 35,000 people. All free, of course. At least it looks like a city.

They give a lot out for free. I like it so much i bought the big pack and got gold car free.  I bought it also because i wanted to support something that i liked and was different from all these war games and killing.  It is almost  like having another Home it is so big. I just wish I could place my furniture and stuff in it.

I think you missed the point.  You are 100% right we should all support good spaces in Home and Home Tycoon is a good space in Home.  But..  There need's to be basic materials for maken a good city.  What should they be?

  1. Watter
  2. Electricity
  3. Town hall
  4. Fire Department
  5. Police Department
  6. School's

Can you imagine living in a town with out thoes basic materials?  If you read my list of good's and bad's of Home Tycoon you will see Zoo is on the good list and you have to pay for that.  Just feel like everyone should have a Police Department in there citys.  As for my idea's I also posted a lot of idea's that you could pay for.

sad to think that my town could very well be filled with stupid children and criminals.
hell, some of those stupid children could even be criminals. Smiley Tongue
