Otherwise we'd have multiple threads (perhaps over a hundred) on this very topic filling up page after page of this forum... While other topics that may be just as important being lost in the crowd.
If the OP has something to add to the topic, he can, if he wishes, add to the Home on PS4 discussion.
Random fact about this thread: 433 unique users have posted in this thread.
For this forum that's a pretty large number for wanting Home on Ps4. And that's just a small fraction of the user base.
apparently it is'nt large enough!
The reasoning PlayStation Home can not be on the PS Vita is because there most likely wouldn't be enough processing power or space for it to run PlayStation Home.
As for why it isn't on the PlayStation 4 is because from our knowledge it hasn't been considered by Sony management to be on the PlayStation 4. Many don't consider the idea that it may not even be possible to transfer Home onto the next console due to hardware/software differences between the PS3 and PS4.
I doubt that Home will ever be available on the Vita. Small screen...
There's a possibility that Home may transition to the PlayStation 4. This thread will be a part of that discussion soon...
With that said, I plan on having both consoles sitting side by side under my television. The PlayStation brand has most of the games and franchises that I enjoy playing. I've no reason to abandon it or the PS3 just because Home isn't available on the new console (at this time). I still have PS3 games to play and conquer. And I will always return Home after a few hours of battles and challenges.
Regarding Home on the PS4, there has been no solid news regarding such a possibility one way or another, which stinks, but some have high hopes yet.
here are the stats on both sys, for people who saying vita couldnt handel it.
800 MHz to 2000 MHz 4-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore
512 MB RAM, 128 MB VRAM
5-inch OLED multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, 32-bit color, 960 × 544 qHD @ 220 ppi
4-core SGX543MP4+ 133M polygon/s @200 MHz
3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine with 1 PPE & 7 SPEs
256 MB system and 256 MB video
550 MHz NVIDIA/SCEI RSX 'Reality Synthesizer'
They did try it on the PSP once, but it never got out of closed beta. It's not exactly Home, but considering what it was running on I'd say it looked pretty good~
