I've spent no money on one city and about $5 on another.  Both have populations over 150,000. I'm not trying to rub it in, just suggesting that you make a few adjustments and you should be able to get there easily. My population started to improve when I removed a few GloboSyn Towers. Again, just a suggestion. Good luck.

Although it may contribute to it, the pollution alone ISN'T the problem. Take a look at my city...

Employment: 30% | Population: 196,109 | Happiness: 2,076 | Pollution: 2,867 | Power: 160 | Water: 4,724 | Crime: 225 | Growth: -18% | Income: 80%

Active Buildings: Lake Park x15, Hometown Tower x23, Condo Sky Tower x16, Corporate Sky Tower x24, GloboSyn Tower x16, GloboSyn Magnus Tower x1, GloboSyn Loft Tower x1, Wingmill Aray x1, Coal Power Plant x1, Fire Department x1, Research Hospital x1, Silverman Socks Plaza x1, GloboSyn Regional HQ x1, Novus Prime Recruiting x1, Town Hall x 1, Arbor Villa x2, Road (too much to count)

My City

I have less happiness then pollution (working on it) and you don't see my population dropping. At first, my population plummited. It went back up, however, once I started replacing those pesky Sky Towers. Add a couple more parks helped as well. If needed, you can always disable a building by blocking road access to it. Blocking off 1/2 of my city lowered my pollution to 400, which helped with the new(ish) quest. Though it may appear that my population is slightly dropping, it's actually stabilized and the Home Towers are still filling up (takes forever).

My larger city has a population now of 170,000.

Happiness is only 800 with pollution at 3400!

Growth rate is 13%.

No paid buildings at all.

I don't see much rhyme or reason behind the numbers.

i really have no idea how growth works now. Smiley Very Happy

yours isnt too bad, although its low enough to take a looooong time for youe residences to fill up as you said. strange, my growth is above 100% and it still takes a while for my residences to fill up, primarily the Hometown Towers; its like people dont want to live in them. Smiley Very Happy

im starting to think there are other factors that effect our stats that are unknown to us. all of our stats seem to be very random.

Here's my status after going green with TransUtopia

Employment:

17%

Population:

276,399

Happiness:

2,207

Pollution:

-2,324

Power:

4,345

Water:

3,702

Crime:

-140

Income:

Growth:

Any Ideas how I can incresse Employment? Do you think being Overpopulated is causing my Employment Rate to drop?
