People will say anything to get a rise. I've come across the real and the fakes and it's just like anywhere else. Ignore and move on. Use the tools given to you to resolve without confrontation and enjoy the rest of your day.

Re: Hacker claiming to be MOD

Last week some guy tried to con me out of my e-mail and password. He said he had a brother who was a mod. I just listened to his spiel, blocked him and announced to the whole casino that this individual was simply a liar and a thief and not to give him any information. I did this because kids could have been present and they are quite gullible. I told him I was the **bleep** son of Bill Gates and money was no object to me! And the fool kept following me around even when I told him he was blocked. I said what I said aloud to protect CCs that kids use that are their parents. I have also gotten some major glitchers to leave Peavox labs. No threats just that I was holding a real camera. I was accused of harassment and stalking when it is they who came at a much later time. One kid said Glasswalls likes to glitch and I said I wasn't reporting to a mod, but a much higher source. I tried to explain simple physics to them. They actually got all the way under the piping by the abduction sim. It's idiots that give Home a bad rep and they outnumber us. I think it's high time to reclaim Home for its intended purposes.

Hopefully you took a few moments to actually report him? If not, what's going to happen when you're not present to "protect the kids"?

Rather than make a big show about something, we should simply report it and go on with our business. Otherwise we may become part of the problem and risk being reported for harassment.

Just wanted to give everyone heads up about this. At acorn park 8/6/13 just before HOME shut down for maintenance. There was this guy there part of motorcycle club threatening members of another motorcycle club to leave the park because this was their turf. He told them that he was a MOD and would hack them if they didn't leave. End result a friend of one of my friends did get hacked. Second Alert comes from visiting the cantina overheard 2 Fams discussing merging together wanting to take over HOME. Both Fams always hang out at the cantina and the Edo space.

Posing as a MOD or claiming to be a Sony employee is a reason for a permanent ban. Just report those guys. They are no good for Home anyways. They deserve to be banned permanently.

Also: Real MODs never (!!!) threaten to HACK anybody.

Was visiting a female friend at her space when a noob friend of hers showed up. I guess he was expecting her to be alone and was shocked to see me. He went on to say i was in his 5 clubs. **bleep**? He then in all caps said IM A HACKER.I laughed and she promptly deleted him.

You would think a hacker would have better clothes then black shorts and a tye dye shirt which are both free lol.

If I was a hacker, I'd look like a giant Gummy Bear.

Mods are like Angles.  When you realize you're really looking at one, you really wish it's not there for you.

When we see a Moderator, they will be wearing a jacket that identifies them as Staff. And on their PSN ID, there will be the prefix "[MOD]". And even if we don't see them, their chat will be highlighted and flashing. From that you will see the prefix on their PSN ID even you we can't spot the actual Moderator.

When in doubt, you can report someone fr impersonating an official. Moderation will understand.
