Last week some guy tried to con me out of my e-mail and password. He said he had a brother who was a mod. I just listened to his spiel, blocked him and announced to the whole casino that this individual was simply a liar and a thief and not to give him any information.
Hopefully you took a few moments to actually report him? If not, what's going to happen when you're not present to "protect the kids"?
Rather than make a big show about something, we should simply report it and go on with our business. Otherwise we may become part of the problem and risk being reported for harassment.
Just wanted to give everyone heads up about this. At acorn park 8/6/13 just before HOME shut down for maintenance. There was this guy there part of motorcycle club threatening members of another motorcycle club to leave the park because this was their turf. He told them that he was a MOD and would hack them if they didn't leave. End result a friend of one of my friends did get hacked. Second Alert comes from visiting the cantina overheard 2 Fams discussing merging together wanting to take over HOME. Both Fams always hang out at the cantina and the Edo space.
Posing as a MOD or claiming to be a Sony employee is a reason for a permanent ban. Just report those guys. They are no good for Home anyways. They deserve to be banned permanently.
Also: Real MODs never (!!!) threaten to HACK anybody.
Was visiting a female friend at her space when a noob friend of hers showed up. I guess he was expecting her to be alone and was shocked to see me. He went on to say i was in his 5 clubs. **bleep**? He then in all caps said IM A HACKER.I laughed and she promptly deleted him.
You would think a hacker would have better clothes then black shorts and a tye dye shirt which are both free lol.
I admit, I wouldn't know a MOD if I saw one. Do they have identifying ... Idk lol How do you tell?
When we see a Moderator, they will be wearing a jacket that identifies them as Staff. And on their PSN ID, there will be the prefix "[MOD]". And even if we don't see them, their chat will be highlighted and flashing. From that you will see the prefix on their PSN ID even you we can't spot the actual Moderator.
When in doubt, you can report someone fr impersonating an official. Moderation will understand.
