I assume this thorny armor works the same way. While Obon is on, it will be the best to wear then revert a notch or so when it's over.

I plan on getting some thorny armor although I really don't need it, it does look pretty dope.

There are three double sword sets available in EU (Normal, Water & Fire) but
BE CAREFUL when they come to NA as the labeling is currently wrong.
Normal says fire, fire says water and water says normal at the moment. Hopefully they catch and fix it before it comes here, but knowing how bad Q&A is for NA Sony it will probably sail right past them.
Careful reading is neccessary to buy the sword you want so be on alert when you are going to press 'pay & order' or whatever the bleep it says now when you purchase.

I wonder is the elemental swords are going to be the same as the clubs during the last event. I originally bought the fire one, because it looked cool, but it seemed like the negative stats on facing fire based enemies nulled the benefit against the water based ones and the normal one ended up using the least amount of swings to complete a level. So, I ended up buying the plain one and using it. I don't want to make the same mistake again. I also wonder how the club that I'm used to using compares to the double swords.

Well, in EU right now the thorned armor isn't working properly apparently. Protects you from those crawling enemies but it's not adding the extra attack strength and the gun is apparently a good choice for this one.

My question is:  Do you get point bonuses from the weapons/armor like you did in Setsubon?

I didn't do Setsubon. There's a special attack for the Thorn armor that uses Soul points if that's what you mean.

Also, the reward system works on Hero points you earn during the battle. Each new reward unlocks after you aquire a certain amount of points. People are saying that the leaderboard stats are the same from Setsubon.

Not exactly sure how the armor works in regards to repelling those crawling creatures, but apparently you can get by with just the tops and bottoms, which is good since the attack boosts from the armor don't seem to working at the moment. Still testing.

Apparently the armor works fine, you have to use up Soul points to activate it's attack boost and you only need the Thorn armor top to keep those monoke off you.

To use the Hero points, do we have to go to the Old Lady to get the rewards or will the rewards unlock automatically when we have the amount of points to unlock 'em?

Wb Hinata Smiley Very Happy  I missed you

I believe I saw somewhere around here that its more like setsubon, meaning you unlock rewards as you reach a certain amount like 25,000, 50,000,100,000 and so forth, you dont redeem the points and its suggested that there are leaderboard rewards but no word from Gz on what those are.  I'll see if I can find it for you.

EDIT: ok I found it. CMC said in page 5 "I didn't get enough points to see the rewards, but it's, 100, 1500, 4500, 15000 and 40000. I'm not sure how the leaderboard comes into play"  and Mogry2112 posted this picture below of the rewards Smiley Happy
