You should still be getting 100 free coins every week. I would suggest waiting for the free ones to spend on the fountain. That's what I'm planning on doing.

I managed to get it last night in 43 chips.  I had 290 I was prepared to toss into the fountain but it popped up quicker than I expected.

Well I'm not personally in a rush for it. Each person decides what is best for them. I prefer not to pay for chips. Good Luck.

Well I'm in a rush for it because these "free" items don't stay avail for so long. Pretty soon they will stop offering the Clock and will offer the Cake for their Anniversary. You can't go back to get any free item when you missed out on it. That's why Home should have a store labeled FREE with all the free items in it from events and from home in general. I'll wait and hope like the rest of us lol

There is a problem with your logic.  The cake will most likely be available when you enter the casino along the lines that the 4th of July hat, the beaver hat as well as the Olympics flag that they gave out.  In a previous post DL said the tower reward would be around for about a month from the fountain

Just to clearify here. For the free cake you'll actually need to come to the dance floor and interact with our event. Smiley Happy

I wouldn't be on board with such a plan. It would diminish the meaning of the items to those who had to be there to get them.

I won the tower on two accounts after 20-30 coin tosses each time. I love having the reward, being something of a namesake for me. I'm sure that that's what they had in mind when they renamed the tower. Smiley Wink

Same for me and several of my friends, but then something clearly happened later last night as I kept getting PMed  from a friend who had gone through hundreds of coins and didn't get it.  Then I joined them, and we asked others around the fountain, and they too said that they were not getting the reward despite going through lots of coins.

We then tried a different lobby, and same result.

I posted about this issue, but not surprisingly didn't get any official response:
