Re: Best companions on Home

Jun 3, 2013
I have over 200 pets at this point since last count, so I can offer some insight on this. Depends on what you mean by best...animations, sound, size, or concept?

For me...size is generally what matters most. Not just with pets, with EVERYTHING on PS Home. So my favorite pets tend the biggest ones, and I don't like tiny ones.

Some of my favorite pets:

-Fantasy Beast from 3D Printer: my overall favorite. He is HUGE (2nd largest), detailed, well animated, and original.

-Plush Ponies from Ndreams: they are hideous looking, kind of creepy, and off the wall hyper...but they are the absolute BIGGEST pets in PS Home...hands down. They are MASSIVE.

-Lucky Falcon (Granzella bed reward) Decent sized and well detailed with a smooth flying animation.

-Pottermore owls: On the smaller side, but decently animated, has a great owl sound, and perches on your shoulder, which guests can also see. Probably the most technically advanced pet.

-Peakvox labs L-Project pets: There are a ton of pets from this, but in most cases, only the A and S rank ones are noteworthy due to them being the biggest and most unique looking. But I like all the pets overall due to each having a unique description, and the pets having a unique style. The tie-in with peakvox monster in JP just makes the whole thing reminiscent of Monster Rancher, one of my favorite monster-raising games.

That's all I can think of now, with over 200 pets it's easy to forget most of them, but offhand those are the ones that stand out to me as they have features that set them apart from the older pets. I hardly buy pets anymore unless they are big since I mainly use LMOs.

I quit buying pets because you cant use them at the same time with LMOs which is too bad,  LMO with pet at same time would be good and I would buy pets again.

For me, the best Companions on Home are the free/rarer/hardly seen anymore ones; my personal favorite is the Winter Holiday White Tiger Companion from Christmas 2011. My obsession with the blue/black/white color triad also helps here too.

The free ones are the best in my opinion. With only two exceptions, mini stapler and the cutthroats pirate ship.

The purple ones are best, of course.

The above comment is my opinion, unless I state a fact. You can disagree with my opinion, but facts are facts.

The arcade stick companion that was given out in the community theater during EVO around two years ago is my favorite companion.

Either my Raven or my Beagle, but in a close 3rd The Cursed Companion she makes the list because it cracks me up at how creeped out some people get from her, hahaha
