Sorry, the spirit of Milton from Office Space got the better of me., I agree however.....this entry tax is a horrible idea and is sure to cause much resentment and animosity.....don't make me create a thread about it Lockwood. No one wants that.
I'm curious. On Ebay if you lose the auction it doesn't cost you anything. With these auctions will the tokens bid be refunded other than the so called entry fee? Or will it cost those who enter both an entry fee and the loss of tokens if they don't win.
Seems to me the entry fee is more of a way to insure they make money on the item being offered up given I would hope the token bid won't be lost if you lose.
Still, if it were practical, other auction venues would have done it for generations now, but the biggest ones do not. That's a good guide to follow....
Pretty sure it's going to be token based. It would save Lockwood a headache from having to deal with raw currency for this type of first on Home. Buy a token pack & pay whatever tax it costs with the purchase (where applicable), & bid with tokens. Win the bid & the tokens will be deducted from your account. But that's my guess.
Edit: I seriously hope that the items auctioned off are well worth the tokens that is used to bid on. Don't want no lame t-shirts or some small furnishing that will end up never being used & stored away in your storage.
