Truthiness...  There is a huge difference between "seems like" and an actual fact.  Even a simple quick browse through the past few hundred rewards as shown on sites like Alphazone4 clearly prove your assumption is incorrect.

In addition, I hate to break it to you, but our avatars are not real, so technically they don't need anything.

Also, if you are looking for evidence of what gets used more, T-shirts (as has been the default reward so often from previous years) or food items, based on the pics people take in Home and post on the web, the food items are used more often than most T-shirt rewards.

The only thing this thread and others like it proves is that no matter what reward they give out there will always be some people complaining about it and making assumptions that their opinion is shared by most....

In fact, if you do a little digging in the past you'll find plenty of rants over the Turkey costume reward, wishing the reward was something else... But now that they offer something else they complain about that and want the costume back...  Reading these forums sometimes makes me feel I'm in a room full of people with ADD at a Veruca Salt convention.  #JustSaying...

Um, did I say something about percentage?  lol, no...  Please read the post again.

You made it easy for me so I will just re-quote what you quoted.  "Seem's like Home keep's given us "free" food in Home." Oh, ok Sony just gave us turkey.jpg

If you look in that pic you will see turkey right?  I could be wrong but didn't the casino say that they are given away a turkey?  Pluss I have another turkey from past year's and yet another one from the closed beta funny part of that is it's a copy of one of the newer one's.  So I have 3 copys of turkey and the casino is given another one away?

But seeing how you totally missed the point.  I goto friend's private places and no one ever seem's to have food item's out.  As I said beofe...  Yes, there is a small percentage of Home users that do use these item's but these item's take time and moeny to make so would Sony's time be better off makeing other type's of item's?

If you are looking for "actual fact" look no further then what people are saying on this post.

It has also been pointed out that some people are using these item's to make it look as if they have been cooking thanksgiving.  I'm well aware of this but it seem's to me that only a few people are doing this.

That "seems" part is the tough bit there. You don't really know, just as you don't really know how many would prefer another event themed t-shirt (though I have a pretty good idea with that one).

I for one use some food items in personal spaces. Around the holidays especially, I think it's a nice little touch and gives visitors something else to check out as they take a look around. Yeah the item cap for personal spaces limits how many of these we can use, but it would be the same if the reward was anything but clothes. Given the choice between a t-shirt/shoddy hat that gives me short hair, or more food items, I'll take the food.

Talk about missing the point and not reading posts carefully.   Making an assumption and specially a conclusion which is exactly what you did when you said as a point of fact "there is a small percentage of Home users that do use these items"  based on just your own limited experience is ludicrous.  Which was the point.  You have no clue how many use these items, none of us do... Which again was also one of the points I was making.

Even this thread represents a microscopic fraction of users in Home, and yet even in this thread there are several posts saying they use these items.  In fact, (and this is fact) far more people use Home that ever use this forum, so even if you some how managed to get a consensus from everyone on this forum, and not just this thread, or your circle of friends, you still would not know for a fact how the majority of Home feel about these rewards.  All you have been doing is disguising your own personal opinion as fact when all it is speculation, and obviously biased at that.

Once again, the point is you have no idea what the majority of Home users think.

I agree with an earlier post and that the only starving going on is for attention, and it appears that's what this thread is probably really about... And to that point, I refuse to give you any more of my attention.  Have a nice day.

Sony's PlayStation Home updated mission statement...

"Like it never happened"

- Stand for something better than mediocrity and don't disguise it as adequate, when clearly it is far from that to anyone willing to be objective and unbiased. -

And the point of this post (this post being the OP)?   To get feed back from the Home community to see what the truth is...  I'm not making this post to force my point of vew's on anyone and I think I've did a good job being non biased.  You can post if you do use these item's in Home or if you don't (would like other type of item's next year).

Do you know what an assumption is?  Like I just said in my last post the point of this topic is to see what people are doing with these item's.  Just by reading what people are saying on this topic paint's a picture of if people are using these item's or not.  I didn't twist anyone's arm in any way to post if they are using these item's or not.

So...  As far as I'm concerned you can use the feed back from the Home community as proof one way or another.  "If" you use these item's in you're Home space why don't you just post that you do or you don't use it and stop going off topic.

This post is designed to give feed back to the people making these item's if there idea's are hit or miss.  Some people on this topic already said they would much rather a T-shirt.  I think Sony can do better then just a T-shirt  but it's vewer feed back that matters.

smokingpistol shared:
When Edo was released here and I got the food rewards it made me think of the old Irem dishes we were rewarded. Then I wondered how many other food items I had. I then found I had a ton. I used an empty space, set up two tables, and filled them with every food item I have won/acquired/bought over the years. When I had placed all my food, I had 20 slots left... It was a feast set for royalty. It looked amazing. It took ages to setup. But it stayed for one more day before I destroyed it. although appealing to keep at the time, the consumption of other slots (almost 80) I really just couldnt justify. So I 'ate' it all and kicked over the tables. Im still stuffed.

:^/ You realize that you could have saved your setting to a thumb drive first, right? Then you could re-use it in the future....
