All of the Sony hate

14 replies 2 views Edited Dec 10, 2009
I would like to say, to all of those people who complain about certain issue's dealing with playstation home. When I hear people complaining about problem's and say thing's like "Sony messed up.. again, like usual".. you know that just make's them not really like their user's as much? I work in a resteraunt, and the more customer's complain about common mistake's such as forgetting to put extra cheese on their burger, and then proceed to talk crap, it really make's us not care about the customer. You should all realize that when it come's to technology such as playstation home, or any video game, there are going to be certain thing's wrong. This is not easy work that they do, if you have ever played little big planet and tried to make an awesome level then you will understand, that if you do something "over here" then something "over there" get's messed up. then you have to spend 20 minute's just fixing everything so it work's like is supposed to, and all that was for a swing. Instead of complaining, give them prop's because they do amazing at their job.. otherwise they will just not care. OPINIONS?!

I totally agree, MajickNinja. If we act like negative brats, that's how they'll see us. Very dysfunctional, and counterproductive.

I think the majority of Home users is much more reasonable, and not full of such negativity and hatred. It's a "vocal minority" who so often worsen things for everyone else. The rest of us should be more vocal. Don't let the unreasonable negativity prevail, here in the forums, or in Home itself. We are not helpless.

Bravo to all who have contributed positively to Home. We have a lot to be thankful, and hopeful, for!

Just my two cents... Life is how we make it. So is Home. Let's show 'em what we got.

I love Sony, I hate our sorry NA Home Team! In technology there will be problems but the difference is they fix their problems quick and if you buy a game and it don't work you get a refund! I wish people would stop saying SONY when its the NA Home Team you should be pointing at!

You speak of working in a restaurant; if someone doesn't get the extra cheese on their burger that they paid for, the customer has every right to complain. The cook, and ultimately you, have let the customer down.

If the customer continues to have the same problem or other "common" problems every time they visit your restaurant, the owner of the restaurant needs to fix this immediately. Otherwise, if the problem is ignored then I suspect in time you are going to have fewer customers. It's easy to blame the customer, but your problem isn't with the customer, it's with the cook, as it is the cook that's costing you tips.

The cook doesn't have to deal with customers, so the waiter gets the brunt of it and as a professional you need to suck it up when people "talk crap". That is what a professional does and if you can't or won't deal with that, then you need to find a different line of work as the restaurant business isn't for you.

I agree.. however, there is a big difference between hate and constructive criticism. Obviously, not everyone is good with words, especially when they're angry, however.. I try my best to be constructive when I criticize them. Another thing is, it isn't against Sony, it's strictly against the staff that is responsible for Home, however.. because we only know so much about the team behind Home, the community team often becomes the scapegoat for such things. After all, we have no one else to contact when things go wrong.

O'rly?
Then I guess it's time for them to quit then, or find another job....oh wait almost every job has some forum of criticism, whether it be from your boss or somebody else.
And there are some serious complaints in the middle of the  BS, but most people here are sony fanboys and hate to see somebody upset with their system.
I seriously thought Gamefaqs had  a lot of fanboys ride or dying for their console of choice but this takes the cake lol.

Like I had brought like with my own money (nothing free) a personal space which I still cannot to this day figure out why it disappeared and who to talk to, I mean come on people if somebody goes to a restaurant and pays for steak and lobster and gets chopped meat and crab, after waiting hours would you feel happy about it?

I wish I would go to a dinner and see the waitress drop my eggs on the floor and put it back in my plate and then on top of that I get no service or manager to speak to, you would be pissed too.

Re: All of the Sony hate

I work for a high-traffic Web site that publishes new site code every two weeks, kinda like the Home team. We've got a very small number of people working on this code and a lot of users. While we have the occasional bug, nearly everything works when we push it out the door.

Why? Because we'd get fired if it didn't work, and because we take pride in what we do. If something isn't finished, we don't release it.

Every content release for Home going back to November has had at least one broken element. Anyone who came into my office with that kind of track record would be immediately shown the door. Clearly, something's broken behind the scenes for the North American Home team. I really do hope they sort it out, because the complainers have a point. You can't keep shoving out broken code before users get frustrated and give up.
