The prices of furniture and clothing in Home has skyrocketed. Before, all the new clothing was 49 cents. Now, you find yourself paying 99 cents to $1.99 for everthing you buy. For example, why does neon furniture cost $1.99? Sure it looks cool, but does it really cost Sony any more money to have someone develop than a normal piece of furniture? For a $1.99, I could buy something in my real life. If the prices of items were lowered, more than twice the number of people would buy them, so why does Sony feel the need to raise them? Please Sony, lower the prices of your animated items. I would have bought all of the shirts and furniture if it was only 99 cents. Many other people would have too. If Sony keeps raising the prices, people will eventually stop buying them. You can already see that the sales of neon furniture have slowed down. If neon furniture was 99 cents, you'd see it in everyone's apartments. For $1.99, you can buy a full game on an iTouch or mobile device. Please state your opinions below.

I agree we need to do something. A serious discussion needs to take place in which we decide what we should do and how to go about as a community trying to lower the price, this is still a beta, the prices are not set in stone.
However, I would take the word petition out of your header immediately least this thread gets locked.
The prices really are getting out of hand. Even $.99 for the clothing articles are pushing it. IMO, $1.99 for ANY single item in Home is ridiculous and I won't pay it.
i won't pay it either. and thats the first step we take. The second step we take is to talk about it and express our feeling s here on the forums. however this doesn't seem to be enuf to get the price changed. What is our next step. What do we do to effectively change the pricess? As Home's beta testers we should have a way to more effectivly change the prices of home.
Everyone would have to stop buying it.
there is no doubt the sales would be tripple what they are now if the furniture and animated shirts where $0.99 or even $1.49
however sony seems thick headed on this issues and most Home users here lack any form of resolve. there is no way to get everyone to stop paying it.
people could stand outside the furniture store and make people aware of the price issue. but even then people would still buy it. They are playing the ad in like every theater. they are really pushing the $1.99 items. I guess they assume (and probably correctly) that the ads will compensate for the price. meaning the ads will attract enuf business to compensate for the lose of sales thanx to its high price.
While I don't want to complain too much because I have bought a few $1.99 and $.99 item, there does seem to be a trend of higher priced items. Raising prices doesn't seem like a good way to get us to buy more, but then I don't have a degree in business.
I'm not sure what if anything we can do other than not buy the higher priced items. Of course, somebody always will.
