Adults Only option for PS Home

131 replies 589 views Edited Dec 27, 2009

As with myself there are many PS Home users who are over the age of 21. Since PS home is FULL of Teenagers and kids, I think it would be nice if adults were able to block out anyone under the age of 21 so we may socialize with people on our level. I for one am tired of teeny boppers attempting to talk to me when we have nothing in common.

Two areas for those 13 to 17 and another for 18 and above might be a good idea if it is feasible, assuming it's desired by users. How to determine age could be difficult unless one assumes the honesty of HOME citizens.

I like the idea. I also like the idea of a kids only area in home.

and that is already pretty questionable.

Credit Card verification would prevent false ages. What person under 18 has a credit card? Anyone who uses PSN cards (and has never used a credit card for PSN purchases) could tell you if a person is under 18. I have never spoke to an adult with a PS3 who uses PSN cards as a main source of purchases.

I personaly think it's retarted to have an Adult only place and if they make a kids only space then it'll have age limits and other crap like that like if you go to a kids space you get booted cus you're not the right age. I don't want a place where I gotta hear how girls liked their sex nights with their bfs lastnight or any stupid thing... if you want to hook up with girls/guys go to stupid eharmony it's bad enough Home has enough siko freaks we do not I repeat DO NOT need another thing to ruin Home.

How many times has this been brought up?

Home is for all ages. This won't happen ok. The best thing to do is block them so you won't have to hear them.

The thing with adult only areas or option on home is that anyone can lie about there age and kids are one of them. So i dought there will be a adult only area for quiet some time till they can figure out how to get around that area.
