I run a club and will make a announcment to them about wearing cloths for it and respecting a moment of silence. I am in the national guard and this is very nice and respectful idea.
Also, nothing against the military or those choosing to wear military uniforms to the memorial, but don't forget that most of the people who lost their lives that day were civilians and emergency responders like firefighters, police and EMTs. They should be honored too.
I have spoken to King, and with his agreement I would like to continue Cheleda's 9/11 respects with a timeline of events from September 11th.
In the past Cheleda met around the lake in our old Central Plaza, but as that is now gone, I would like to make Acorn Park the location for this years memorial. If anyone would like to join me for either all or part of the memorial I will be there from 7:45am EST until approx 10:45am EST to read out the key timeline from when the first plane took off to when the last tower fell. It will be in the southeast corner of the lake in Acorn Park.
As Wednesday is Home update day, I'm hoping Home will be online in time, but if not will be there at earliest opportunity.
If anyone would like to join, please send a Friend Request on the day with 9/11 in the title so you can arrive in the same instance.
There is no dress code, so whatever anyone feels comfortable wearing is fine.
