There is now a way to wifi tether your vita to your android phone without violating your cell service contract using an app called foxfi in the app store.....it works great and is as fast as your conetion speeds are in 3g or 4g.

yea no root no violation it is the same as useing the usb tether to your laptop the app only alows the use of wifi instead...and you are paying for the data through your plan anyway why not put it to better use

Actually, if you read the fine print of your cell contract you would know that tethering is violating your cell contract.

Per your fine print, your supposed to purchase a "tethering plan" in order to tether your laptop or other devices to your phone.

With that said, I tether my laptop on my at&t phone all the time. I do not have a tethering plan, just wanted to give the heads up incase you somehow get caught and they cancel your contract.

New Signature coming soon....

Rooting doesn't really violate your cell service it makes them void your warrenty so they will not replace it under any circomstances. As for you tethering without a plan It prob does in there somewhere

you are right but they don't cancel your contract. they just change the contract and add a tethering plan.

Foxfi works. Its a nice feature. As far as a tether plan. I didn't ask for it but I have something. Tether USB or even Bluetooth. No need for foxfi there. But I have to use Verizon's hotspots feature to access wifi? As of lately, post update 4.25, foxfi has given me super slow speeds. Not sure what's up there. Everything else works great though. Thanks to grandfathering, I still have unlimited on my RAZR MAXX. Love the 4g Lte. Speeds are super fast. Foxfi works. But it is a little limited to the PS3. Not sure if I'm getting throttled by Verizon or if ps3 messed up after update. Is Verizon able to just throttle my ps3? Not really sure...
