I wonder how well this will work. I remember Onlive was super hyped back in 2009 and then flopped.

This will be exactly the same thing.nobody wants to stream old games when ps4 games start churning.and its gonna be laggy and slow.just like onlive was.

Did you have OnLive? Because that's not my experience from it at all. It works, but the game selection sucked.

A friend of mine works for OnLive. He even set up my brother with a free box and let him sign-in to an account to check it out a few years back.... We were not impressed.

Although OnLive is still around, it was (is) not exactly a success and is considered a flop.

It's too early to say if PS Now will be a "flop" or a "success."

Regardless, It will be a nice added feature to the PlayStation brand -- and a great way to bring backwards compatibility to the PS4 (for those who cried over it not playing PS3 games...)

Depending on the price, I know I will be a subscriber to the service at some point.

It will be nice to play / stream those hard to find PS1/PS2 titles that I don't own or can't find (when available.)

I think it will be a success, plus you can rent if you don`t want to subscribe. People buy PS1 and PS2 games for the PS3 right now, since they seem to do well enough, I think Playstation Now should do well, if the price is right.

I was just about to ask about previously owned games. So will this be something thats like, $9.99 a month unlimited games to play or something?

I'm re-excited about the powah of the cloud all over again. Destructoid was impressed with how well it worked, of course this gives review sites plenty of time to over analyze all of the bad things as well. Can't wait until E3

It is a subscription based service, but you can also rent games individually.

I'll be honest -- the "any platform" aspect is kind of worrisome. Self cannibilization is generally a very bad thing. If PlayStation can be enjoyed from anything, what's going to happen to the console market?

There were also several other key parts of it you might have overlooked.  All of this information was taken from cnet's article found here    http://ces.cnet.com/8301-35295_1-57616810/hands-on-with-playstation-now-everything-we-know-so-far/

PS3 games will be supported at launch, with nothing to announce regarding older, back catalog (that is, PS2, PS1) games yet

Games will stream at 720p resolution

  • Multiplayer is supported between players using PlayStation Now, as well as the ability to play against people who are playing using a disc
  • 5Mbps broadband connection recommended

Now in theory we all should have at least 5Mbps connection; in theory I'm suppose to have it but I usually average barely over 1.5.  And that may be the case for many people.  No I don't have another choice in ISP-its the only on rural area.

It sounds like a good idea and I hope that it works out well for Sony.  I am curious about pricing and such. And if the 720p will upset anyone.
