I really like NEAR, but it confuses the hell out of me. When I pull it up it says that 94 people are playing near me (and the icon is welcome park or at least itr looks like the digit game in welcome park). There is no way that is true, unless is is for 50 miles around me maybe.. I have also tried to send items to friends and NEAR people, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
Is there a NEAR super FAQ for people like me who can't seem to figure it out?
I don't know if there's one, but I'm hoping the PlayStation Blog will do one. People in comments have mentioned wanting one, so hopefully they deliver.
I have no idea how a game sends out something. Uncharted had something to send from me, but I have no idea if it did or not. :/ It's extremely confusing, but an interesting feature. Just needs a FAQs.
There isn't a "super" FAQ but if you select the orange lifefloat icon in Near Live Area it will show you commonly asked questions and information.
Thanks for the link. That FAQ is a good start. I was hoping to get some more specifics like:
1. What is the distance range for the "people in your area"
2. How to send and recieve items.
3. What is considered an "encounter"
4. I see that the functionality is limited by the age of the user. I am using a subaccount, but am 38. Any idea if they are making a distinction between <18 and subaccount users? for the longest time they didn't.
Just a few questions I am sure there are more oyt there.
