ps3 update

i was wondering witch would be the safest way to update my ps3 .. the the console itself or through usb...i want to update it to 4.31 but i hear about it freezing and then corrupting the console

You don't need to update to 4.31.... its an optional update.

Logic, who would've thought eh? Oh wait.... No one thinks anymore.

yeah ik that i was just wondering what everyone thought on really any update  expecially this one .. so would usb or console update be safer

USB/PC and using Safe Mode for the install

I updated mine through iphone tethering, it took 4 freaking hours to complete the download but it worked.

i needed the update because my game needed the update as well. -.-

not a good move doing it with a iphone like that and i would strongly advise against it next time...next time you may not be so lucky and corrupt your ps3
