Not all PCs have this functionality with the PS3.  I want to say it's Vaio only.

Yep sony products only (some sony cells, laptops, and psps). As for how to set it up, i've never owned a vaio.

Here is my Vaio. You'll need something like this first of all...

Turn on the ps3 and go to the Remote Play/Register Divice and remember/write down the key they give you.

After installing the Remote View and Remote Keyboard(optional), Load it up and name your Vaio and hit next.

Type the key into the computer and hit next.

Soon after you hit next the pairing should be complete.

On the PS3, Start Remote play and hit the connect button on the PC

Controlls are as follows:

Main Screen:

I hope my next leap will be the leap home!

is there any way to use the keyboard on ur vaio to type messages instead of selecting letters with the arrow key and constantly pressing X? It gets really obnoxious

I second that question!  I dont see anything in the help to be able to type your messages with the keyboard when in Remote Play on the PC.  I tried to use the keyboard connect that also came with that software which lets you use your laptop or keyboard conneected to your PC as the keyboard for the PS3 over bluetooth but it would never connect.  So i dont know what else to try.  Cant see it not being an ability!

thats kind of a rip off that you would have to pay almost  $1,000 on a computer to have that remote play feature.

its not a ripoff.....

if people are looking to buy a brand new laptop, and they like the idea of Remote Play.... this will enable them to choose the Vaio.

if people already have a Vaio PC and never thought of remote play, then they need only register their PC.

Stop thinking of it as "you have to buy a new computer to use this feature" and more of "next time I look for a PC, i'll see about getting the Vaio"

Its not a ripoff either, that sort of thing is when people only look at ONE piece of the pie instead of actually looking at the entire pie and its ingredients, or you can call it ignorance
