As the topic says, I cant get it to charge from my ps3, but it works if I use my PC to charge it.

I've also had my ps3 for a while now, maybe its from the new firmware update?

if your not using the charger that your ps3 controler came with then that might be the problem

I only have one cable so yes I'm using the same cable, the same cable that I've always used.
This only started up after the new firmware update so I'm guessing it's from that.
The USB port works and the controller accepts charge from the PC so it's not the cable.

Ive never had an issue liek this BUT a USB problem generally means that either the Universal serial bus (USB) is not getting enough power, or software is causing an issue. Is there other things plugged in at the same time? could there be multiple controllers? etc
thats all i can think of.
try restting the ps3 itself.
