Those on your face ad placement in the Xbox is what makes it so unappealing to me. All they do is tell me that the console itself should be FREE. The day they do that that's the day I would be happy with Xbox.
SONY has taken a smarter approach. With What's New & the scrolling txt under the clock they keep us informed of whats new on the PSN store, then once in the store more ads. Then there is the mega advertising paradise of PlayStation HOME, where ads on your face fit perfectly, for hey, cities are clothed with ads on your face.

M$ is greedy, that's half the reason they're such a failure. If PSN gets infected with them too it could likely be the last straw as I don't buy much due to the expensive prices. I've wondered why the digital distribution of games, games that are being published on disc as well, have the same price tag as the game disc price tag. We all have wondered, read and perhaps talked about the reasons why game discs are priced at $59.99 & perhaps these same reasons can extend to the digital distribution market as well. Now, if it is a SONY published game, should the digital copy distribution of the game have the same price tag as the game disc copy? Mmmhmm, would the middleman market expenses now become server fees & whatnot?
